I always said, Jimny is a different breed. Some say its too small, but that isn’t an issue. It tried and tested and has infinite modification scope. From various suspension kits, steering dampers, exhausts to supercharger kits.

Nice video Tarun and honestly Im not surprised. Just one point though, you should shift transmission into neutral bedore shifting transfer case in to 4Low. Jimmy's light weight is an added advantage in difficult situations besides Jimny is much more nimble. This has been amply demonstrated by seasoned off roading experts in Australia, South Africa and United Kingdom. Thar needs to shed some weight, it is obese at almost 1,800 kgs kerb weight when compared to 1195 kg kerb weight of Jimny.

Isliye maine thar sell kar ke Jimny book ki hai family problems ki wajah se door, boot space,size light weight average etc. Jimny book ki hai bas delivery ka wait kar raha hu 🤔mere liye segment se jada capable aur practical hai aur mere sare requirements fulfill Kati hai jimny, door, boot space, narrow roads of its size, light weight ki wajah se fasne ka tension nahi, aur test drive me maine 16-17 kmpl ka average bhi nikala tha Stock tyre me (only) isliye jimny is ❤️only lowest budget 4*4 available in segment best capable and practical to go anywhere. jo iski capability ko nahi samajhte unhe ye samajh nahi aayega kuch logon ne tho venue, nexon se isko compare bhi karte hain🤭🤣

"ROAD PRESENCE" chaiye bhai ko! aur kuch nhi - so they are happy to settle for 2wd Thar... !!!!! And not only KZbinrs, even guys from forums like team-bhp, you should read those comments... actually not to blame, this is meant for true off-road enthusiasts and not show-offs, who were expecting a cheaper off-roader, that they can buy and show-off. The day price got announced, Jimny became an oversized Espresso according to them!!

The Jimmy was able to do that better than thar was maybe because of the torque converter gear box which delivers power more smoothly and the fact that it is so light weight. It can pull itself up easily.

First of all automatic is the worst choice for offroading. Manual offers better crawl control, because it's simply about dropping the clutch without flooring the throttle thereby preventing the wheel spin.

Jimny comes with rigid axle suspension, now imagine the only other car with same suspension setup is rubicon. Of course, Jimny is a better off roader.

Jimny 5 door with extended wheelbase did without much effort . 3 door would have done it much easily 😂.But Thar 3 door had a little bit of struggle initially . If 5 door comes with extended wheelbase , unless there is a considerable increase in ground clearance , the underbelly and differential will touch on obstacles like these😅 and will be even more harder I guess. And with significant increase in cost , only those people who would still want a thar ( offroad , showoff , fill instagram ) and needs a 5 door for short family trips will only consider it . Off road ability is going to decrease .

Rubicon is also available in 3 door & 5 door... And 5 door wrangler rubicon is very capable offroad suv.. You just need 33 or 35 inch tyres & lift kit.. It'll solve this issue

@@avinash2_ I was talking about stock setup bro and thar as well , not Rubicon. Everyone knows Rubicon is one of worlds best for off roading even in stock setup. In stock , M&M should consider it before launching 5 door. And my opinion is completely based on what I saw in this video, nothing else . If talking about modification , modified off roaders are always next level . Even global 3 door Jimny modified with with lift kit and differential locks just with 215/75/15 MT tyres can outperform SUV's twice it's size and price to a large extent .

Tata safari in its current form cannot do anything. Maybe the proposed Tata sierra might have some capabilities. According to learned Tata executives, there is no market for 4WD vehicles hence didn’t consider it for harrier or safari, maybe they are speaking for themselves as a brand.
