Good grief Jim! I've recently discovered your vids and I must say I'm very impressed! I'm sure you get "What do you do for a living?" type questions a lot! hahaha Man, you've got some nice toys. I can at least live vicariously though you :) Until then, I'll stare at my new $18 casio watch and my Sage 3 haha. I wish you could get blades like this more cheap and more available bc it’s saddens me to see an awesome knife like this an I know it will never be truly used for what it’s intended to be used for. I get why you wouldn’t just thrash on it but at the same time it is a knife and it’s number 1 priority is to cut.

Unfortunately I had an issue that was unacceptable with this knife. More unfortunately, Crusader Forge took the matter lightly and didn't seem to care, so I went to my dealer (thehollowgrind) and Joel took it back. He sent it in to them for repair, and IF it comes back perfectly, i will then get it back. I am not holding my breath. Shame because it was so amazingly gorgeous.

Nope, I actually got it at a smaller site called blade gathering for a decent price. Dean is a great guy who stocks some amazing customs, he got up early to ship out my knife Saturday so I could have it today.

I gave it back to my dealer to send it in to CF for an issue with the pivot. IF it comes back perfect, I'll be getting it back, most likely to keep.

Thanks Frank, much appreciated. Sage 3 is a great knife. I have looked at the Graymans but for some reason, none sing to me personally. I know the quality is certainly there, I just don't feel inspired when I look at them.

Hey Jim, did you have a detent issue or a pivot issue? I actually have a full custom FIFP EX, but the blade Is so damned heavy so if the pivot isn't tightened down like it was from CF, you can actually auto open it with a wrist flick, I've looked and its the recess for the detent ball that is quite shallow, but I'm going to keep mine no matter what it's such an awesome knife that I wouldn't want to be without it. Would be nice to hear what your issue was. /Stefan.

Hey Jim did you try to have the detent problem warranted? Or did you opt for a strait up return? Im big into this maker and I just was wondering if there is a warranty issue. Or other with them. My experience has been good up till a few months ago.

That would really suck. The FIFP is in my "someday" list but to know that the company doesn't take issues really well damages its reputation. Just curious (hope I'm not being annoying) but what was the "unacceptable issue"?
