@ColaAlchoholic Not really... it was only in around 2008/2009 (like 9 years after progaming started) where Blizzard said "we were shocked to discover that our game was being used in third party tournaments without our consent" or something. By that time, Kespa basically ruled the entire progaming scene. Also, the developers of SC2 are NOT the developers of SC1/BW. They were the devs of WC3, which is why they feel so similar.

@ColaAlchoholic Actually Flash does have some problems with his wrist so he can practice like 1/3 of the normal practic. Also, he tied NaDa in titles. He is the best right now, better than Bisu, JD or anyone currently playing.

@ColaAlchoholic As far as I know, he doesn't play Brood War at all any more. In fact, if you make a statement saying that you are switching, the KESPA forbids you from returning as a progamer for a set amount of time (I think it was 2 years). If he did return, he would be playing semi-pro/am. This is due to KESPA not being on good terms with Blizzard about progaming in general. Blizzard doesn't want third-party tournaments, but KESPA claims they started the e-sport scene. .

@ColaAlchoholic inanoha's right... July switched games because he was doing so poorly up until SC2 was released. He wasn't even on the A-team anymore, he was playing very few games at the end. Boxer and Nada were both really good in their primes, but everyone got better. They wouldn't stand a chance now against these people.

Terran's most basic unit is borderline OP against Zerg. Combine this with the fact that if Z loses 3rd, he automatically loses the game. If he gets pushed before defilers come out, he loses. Vice versa, Terran does not have similar consequence timings. If T loses 3rd base, it's not instant GG. Terran soooo fucking imba in TvZ, GG. @ceohtt actually Soo 7 pooled. That map Fantasy and soO played on was heavily Terran favored, there wasn't much Soo can do. Hydra on the other hand just can't beat Flash. It's that simple.

@ColaAlchoholic Because unlike Starcraft 2, Brood War actually takes incredible skill and requires the best multitasking, macroing, microing, and timing. Starcraft 2 is just a noob friendly version (i.e. 6 workers to start, automatic split to mine, select all units at once, select all buildings at once, etc.) Starcraft 2 will never match the skill these korean progamers are playing at right now. And that's why Flash, along with Korea's best progamers, are still playing Brood War.

@ColaAlchoholic Pretty much after WoW came along, Blizzard realized how much money they could make off of a game, and they went off and partnered with another large corporation (Activision) to maximize their revenue as a priority over anything else.

@ColaAlchoholic You might want to read forums and new sites before asking those questions because you are sounding like a troll. SC2 is only big everywhere except Korea. SC1 brings more money and more fame in Korea. This including GSL and other SC2's incredibly poor tournament format, lack of a good esports organization, etc. No smart top player of SC1 would ever go to SC2 in Korea at the moment. There's a reason only washed up veterans of SC1 or B-teamers go to it.
