I have so much love for Jin's voice. I still trust JK as the most stable voice in BTS, and I still trust the official designations of the vocal line. JK deserves main. Jimin deserves lead. Taehyung and Jin are both amazing and versatile vocalists in their own right. All four vocalists are formidable, and they get to show off how incredibly good they are with every song. Still, Jin is the voice I lean on the most. Especially during live performances, to me, he's the clearest bell, and he switches between textures so smoothly. He goes from ominous to healing to soothing to vibrant to powerful to explosive in a way that's so satisfying. His lines always give me earworm. His diction is great, and he only embellishes his voice when needed. In some BTS songs, there are some stylistic choices that get overused in multiple lines that it creates a constant sound that is outside of the music, but Jin never has that. He draws people in by voice acting, and he's so consistent about that draw. There are songs, like Converse High and Just One Day, that I wish had acoustic or studio versions where he plays main. While JK, Jimin, and Taehyung, are amazing for their unique colors and spontaneous harmonies, which also help Jin and elevate each other's efforts-I love how Jin consistently sounds fuller, even when he employs a breathy style of singing. And maybe this is because I'm more used to the rock genre, but Jin always kills his lines.
