Jin is good at keeping his personal life private. I only found out recently from In the Soop 2 that he cried so much before the mic drop performance when his dog died. The guys promised to do one take for him.

I love Jin’s personality so much. He really is able to balance his introvert personality, while still socializing with other people, and keeping his life as private as possible. And I also feel like he really is the funniest member of BTS. 💜

I personally felt this video seems to have a pretty skewed perception about Jin at some points though. Jin is very multifaceted as a person, in my opinion. He isn't just always doing or saying things with the sole intent of making us laugh or smile. There were many times he was very upfront and honest with us regardless of whether it made us happy or sad. Remember the MAMA speech when he told us how they were struggling mentally and was thinking of disbanding at some point? 10:11 "He cares, he is not cared for" is something I absolutely disagree with because we all know how much the boys care for him. I agree with you Shiki!

yeah, i think it's important to note jin goes above and beyond for the members and army to smile even going out of his comfort zone but i do think some of the video was acting like jin acting/manipulating in a way and i don't really like that angle i mean, i know the boys have a private life and can be different outside of work and even have flaws but this was a bit much

They were also contradicting the entire point they were trying to make through this video (which was to not assume things about him and that we’ll never really know them well enough) by doing just that; by ASSUMING a lot of other things about Jin like the entire “he tries to manipulate his own self to always make others happy” 😶I believe these are simply the creator’s observations, personal opinions and an over analysis of it, stated to seemingly sound like “facts” which can be very misleading to newer armys. 😕

Jin is a very VERY layered person. HE decides which part of his personality to show us and how much of it. Yoongi and JIN especially have such unpredictable sides to themselves and I LOVE this about them.

He doesn’t want to show us his weak side, he has the opinion that an idol must entertain and not worry his fans, he also requested to cut part of his interview on You Quiz on the Block because he talked about depressing things. Seeing him sad it breaks my heart, being on BTS is a blessing but for someone who started from zero it must have been a nightmare as well. I loved him since minute 1, his voice, his personality, his cuteness, his incredible beauty, he is an amazing human being 😍

The title itself says , we don't know them and it's true. As fans we all have boundaries. As an individual I respect him alot , he went through a lot and being the eldest of the group is not something that is simple ,you can see that in so many events. In order to sleep we need to pretend to be asleep right? The same thing happens to them too sometimes , sometimes more than looking at the mirror they looks more in the camera . I can relate to him a lot.

I agree with what you say and I got that too as the video went on, even if I disagreed with some of the things. One of the I didn't agree with mostly was the "he's not cared for" part. That hit me too, that ending line. He's gone through an immense amount and he's so strong for all of that. Thank you for your comment!!

@@ShikiBTS I also didn't agree with that fully but at some levels . i'm not saying about the members bcz I know they are the ones who loves ,respects, cares for him the most. In the first years of their debut , the amount of negative things that he had to went through is something that I don't want to recall. Saying 'he can't dance' , 'he can't sing' things really offenses me , as a singer I disagree with that. As an army at that time , I saw some fans who were completely into the younger bts members avoiding the older ones , if you know you know . But i'm now happy bcz most of the armys are ot7 whether they will have a bias or not . Referring that quote to members is something that I will disagree too.

No one knows what it is like to be in BTS apart from BTS. I would say that Jin does keep as real as he can. Look at their 2018 MAMA speech when he mentioned disbandment and in another when he mentioned how everyone should make music in good faith. I am not so naive to know that they don't like to show their down days or tough times but Jin has said on camera that he is not someone who dwells on things. I think he has a great balance and is the best oldest hyeung. 💜

Oh wow! That last part really got me. You could truly see how much he loved his pet and how upset he was. I agree the other members are there for him too, but sometimes they may not know how much each other may be hurting. I love them all too, as much as I know of them from what we are fed here in internet land.

i can feel his pain whenever i hear "tonight" that he wrote for his pets jjanggu, eomuk and oedeng coz i also am heartbroken everytime i think of my pets who passed away...that in the soop moment where the other members brought the topic of how he broke down when he learned jjanggu died broke me coz that was the time they have to do a performance of mic drop and he had to set aside his emotions in order to deliver a performance well.

We have to appreciate the person who made this video. That's reality. I'm 54 years old so I understand our boys have 2 different lives and is better if they keep it separate, but some people are questioning why they don't share everything. We receive so much from them, so is better to respect the other aspect of their life

That they love him that's for sure, but that they take care of him as he needs sometimes I doubt it, and don't get me wrong it's not because they don't love him but because he only shows his smiling side and makes jokes but he doesn't usually show his insecurities much and what is really on his mind is not to be a burden to others and that is why I think many times he does not say or ask for what he needs so that makes the members unable to take care of him as he really needs. Many times he says something or does something and you can tell he's serious but the others laugh so he goes with the flow and makes it a joke too, like for example his dance, in butter there is a part where he is dancing enjoying the dance and doing it for real. And the members imitated him and laughed, it looks like he was embarrassed and acted like he did it for a joke

They're sharing everything they can with us and I appreciate that a lot, because it's not easy to open up to millions. Even tho if it makes me tear up. But information sharing has boundaries and it's good and healthy to keep some things to yourself. We know them enough to say, that they really love us, which is more than enough.

You know, having millions of people who adore you and would worry about you and your mental and physical health is kind of overpowering, even if it's a good thing....We can't imagine how we affect them. We just can't. I know that at some points in my life, I have not wanted people to know stuff because that meant I would be obligated to respond to their kindnesses, etc. And at those points, I didn't feel like I could (those times when you don't want to have to be nice, etc.). We are already privy to soo much of their lives/time....it's a very small thing for them to keep stuff to themselves. Whatever they share, I'm grateful for, and I feel like it's a LOT.
