This track was co-written and co-produced by the brilliant Gary Barlow (Take That). Would love to see Jin do a song with Gary or all of Take That (Gary, Howard & Mark). He fits so well with Brits who have amazing voices and produce timeless hits (first Chris Martin, now Gary Barlow). The 80’s were my time and we would have loved Jin (and all of BTS) then as well as now.

And I think the more you listen to him, the more you're gonna see that's our man's style. He's gonna sing straight like that, and it's so different from everyone in the team. Can you see the glam rock/electronic rock influences, too? Like The Strokes, The Killers, etc? He'll find his niche soon, and you're right, he's gonna pull the spectrum of musical style the opposite way of hip hop. 😂 BUT! Funny you mention a lot of the British influences, as this track was produced by Gary Barlow. He is a member, writer, composer and producer of the massive UK group, Take That, who have been around since 1990. You may not have heard of them as they were not famous in the USA because they decided they didn't want to try to make it there a long time ago. They were massive in the UK and a lot of Europe, so Gary has a lot of experience, but of course will also have a lot of British influences. Gary has also written for other artists and musicals and is a well known household name here in the UK. On another Jin related topic, I know you watched Jungkook and Jimin's travel programme, but Jin also did a series of Run Jin just after his military discharge. If you want to get a sense of his personality, it is worth watching one or two of these, as he is a very funny man and is a bit of a joker.

I really love how you asked others to watch the mv before watching the reaction... Yt being yt... They do this to us ever time bts's new music releases... They keep freezing and cutting our views... Even the happy release live had 3M+ views but at the same time the official mv had only 2M views... That's just how corrupt yt is.. I'll be there dolby mv has double views than the official mv.. Idk how that makes sense! So thank you for asking to stream the mv 🥺 I've never saw a reactor asking for this and now you're channel is my favourite cause I'm tired of seeing ppl react to bts for views and stuff but y'all seems so sincere! Frankie - I know you mentioned increasing views etc but would be great if you could publish your reaction after 24 hours of any song/mv release to increase views on actual mv. FYI most known BTS reactors are doing this so we have a united focus. Your channel, your decision. Just a suggestion..

Thanks for your suggestion, for me it's about consistency and scheduling. I film on Fridays and Sundays and since forever I use my Fridays as a "new music friday" reaction where I react to what's new. While I understand what you say I did not know about this "rule" until a couple of weeks back when Jin released "I'll Be There". All my previous BTS songs (new ones) I reacted on a Friday, from Jimin to RM, anything that has been out in the last 4 months. I honestly do not mind if you decide to hit play on my reaction on Saturday, Sunday or whenever you feel it's the right time, but this is my schedule and I am going to keep on doing it this way and at the same time I am going to keep on streaming and asking people to stream it because of respect towards the members and the group effort. What I will ask is that you play my reaction responsibly. Thank you for the comment, I do appreciate you guys keeping me informed of all the trends and everything related to streams, voting, etc. as I do not have time on my regular work days to keep up with everything that goes on.

11:18 Bighit is definitely investing in promotions with ads on spot and all streaming platforms, etc. That's undeniable, and totally legal. But I will still disagree with you about the payola or pay for play. The radio spins that these guys gets and their playlist placement is proof of this. Even with Seven, which did exceptionally well with streams and was the most streamed songs for WEEKS didn't even get top spot on TTH until an obviously underhanded length of time. Like it was noticed and pointed out and then it was top for a week and then dropped again. Also, Jon Bellion, one of it's producers went on record during an interview saying how payola is so obvious when Seven was breaking records with streams, was top chart placement in the US and globally for weeks and months and even then was getting almost nil radio spins. Jin, who during an awards show in 2019 performed and even accepted an awards in a Dead Kennedy's esque suit with a dollar sign sprayed which they had done as protest against the industry, using his time when accepting an award to call on everyone to be fair and called out underhanded practices. PLUS if they did, with the crazy hate trains/smear campaigns that have and do happen against them they would unfairly be made to be industry scapegoats. Even back in 2015, bc their success with I Need U surprised those who weren't paying attention, Bighit literally had to go to court to prove that they didn't engage in buy backs. They learned the hard way to keep it all above board.

@@frankiebiggz Erlich used to be CFO and EVP at Interscope where he signed a certain kpop band. In 2019 he went to Spotify and in 2021 he was promoted as their Global Head of Music. I don't know if you're aware but in 2022/23 Spotify engineered stream counts so that it took a top position from JungKook and gave it to a member of the other kpop group. This is not that other group's fault, that's why I'm not mentioning their names. It's Erlich pushing it because he championed that group. Army called Spotify out for this and Spotify had to retract it and put JK back at the top.

If they had chosen the path of paying for radio play (payola), they could have achieved success in the Western market much more easily, quickly, and on a larger scale than they have now, but BTS and BigHit chose not to take the money route. As a result, their activities bring almost no profit to the American music industry. That’s why Billboard and the Grammys do not welcome them. I recommend watching the video 'why the music industry is terrified of bts (by the Boracity channel).' For example, one of their Billboard No. 1 songs, "Life Goes On," received a radio spin score close to zero. As far as I remember, it was played on the radio only six times. Compared to the radio scores received by other songs within the rankings, BTS's success can be attributed to the power of ARMY : )

If you think bighit/hybe will be even a bit competent in the promotion I have some big news for you lmaoo The lack of promo for bts, especially Hyung line, is ridiculous. They can't even get them on Korean radio or any playlists, much less internationally. Running Wild was literally only added onto 3 playlists and has 0 radio play, like that company can't shake hands to save their lives unless someone else steps in and helps them and then MAYBE they'll do the bare minimum. Another example, Jimin debuted at #1 (or #2 and went #1? Not sure) on global spotify but didn't see Today's Top Hits playlist until like a week later and only at 37, even after being #1 for several weeks (one of the longest running #1 songs this year overall) they still gave it no real promo when a competent company would've jumped on that to keep the momentum going. It also got no radio-play, on the Hot100 chart its radio points were 0,1 and then dropped to 0. Also they never re-stock their CDs, so no one can buy the music, and when they do finally re-stock they stock like 2500 CDs which are gone in minutes. At this point it doesn't even seem like they do it to stay "organic", it seems like they're just plain stupid and incompetent. Thank god bts have such a strong fandom.

(this is without mentioning the enemies they've made along the way, big corporations and platforms sabotaging bts in broad daylight. Some examples being billboard changing their rules to exclude bts every time they go #1 like clockwork (making radio-play matter a lot more, making sales matter a lot less, etc). KZbin deleting their views and shadow-banning them, you can see it from the like to view ratio where they have 4 times more likes than other music videos with the same amount of views, and from the fact that the dolby atmos video for I'll Be There by Jin has almost double the views of the official music video because it isn't under bts. Hanteo the Asian album sales chart freezing sales fro 10h on first day and never adding the lost sales. SM Entertainment (the most influential entertainment company in Korea) being caught buying a company to create smear-campaigns against bts and to manipulate public opinion against them with articles and fake comments etc. There's soo much more)
