I really don't think people realise just how well he actually did do in the military. He's not kidding when he says he aced everything. From all accounts he really did shine in his service. Those awards he got are no joke, look up what he had to do in order to be awarded them. I know the other members are doing just as well too, I'm so proud of them all for really embracing something that really isn't an ideal situation and making the most of it. I'm so happy he's back! Now it's only four months and we get Hoseok back too!

I adore that he comes out of the military and is immediately a good hyung to the other members. That he made a point to emphasize the hug event is something he “personally” chose to do and we shouldn’t expect or try to force/guilt the other members to do the same. I love him.

He did well in the military and as he said was known to have aced everything. He became an Elite class special warrior and had an early promotion to Corporal. He became a Sergeant again through early promotion because of his hard work back in December, so a third of his military life he was at the highest position he could have achieved as an enlistee, which is highly commendable. He was known to keep strictly to the rules but always available for those that were struggling with extra help and kindness. He was the mediator between new recruits and the upper echelons just as he had been between BTS and Hybe for years. He excelled in everything again because of his hard work and determination just as he has done with all things related to BTS. Even with the light hearted jokes you could see that he had taken his role seriously and actually enjoyed his time in there. This man is someone all should try to emulate. Look up what it takes to be an Elite class special warrior you will be shocked. He also challenged J Hope to become one as well stating BTS pride and of course he did. All have achieved excellent achievements so far as to be expected, I am proud of them all! I will post another post re Festa!💜💜💜💜

In his previous weverse post way back, he already mentioned that once discharged, he will not go home but do the live right away. He kept his promise. And it was even more than that. He had his hug event and mini-concert the following day. He did not really have any rest those 2 days. After the live, went to the venue to rehearse. Then at midnight, did the Super Tuna extendes version recording. Perhaps few hours or sleep or maybe none (due to anxiety and excitement for the 2 events) before going to the FESTA venue. Then to the hug event (1000) in the afternoon and the main event (4000) in the evening. I strongly suggest that you watch and react to his performances (The Astronaut, Trending challenge, Seven Dance Challenge, Super Tuna, Eat Jin and Moon. I see you love Jin's high notes so you will be in awe with his TA and Moon performances. His high notes were sooooo good 👌 that's with only few hours of rehearsal and after not singing for 18 months. He was truly amazing on his one-man show during FESTA. It's really a big shoe he has to fill while the other members are in MS.

Inside the Military Jin was promoted early twice and he was assigned as assistant drill instructor so in a way he was ranked higher than his batchmates. He did a good job! Just like how RM said he leads the team, but it is Jin and Jhope that keep everything in order in their house. Both excel well as both became assistant drill instructors

I just want to you to know that he was a Company Commander trainee who was awarded best trainee award and a Private First Class who is promoted to special class elite warrior and Assistant Drill Instructor who got early promoted to Coropal and double promoted to Sergeant ,also a Squad Leader. In his service, he was awarded 2 x Company Commander level awards 7/8 Battalion Commander level awards. He is the only K-pop idol in history to have such honors..like it's mandatory for every korean citizen to join the military. He served literally at the front lines. He was enlisted when it was cold af, jin hates cold. He did really well better than a common man, let alone an idol. SO PROUD OF HIM

I've watched a couple of fan cams and, from what I saw, he didn't actually hit the really high notes. I'm actually glad that he didn't try since he could have damaged his throat if he had tried. Instead, he let a backing track hit those notes for him and held out his mic for ARMY to sing that part of the song. To me, it was a brilliant way to perform for ARMY, give the kind of performance that ARMY is used to seeing from BTS members, and still save his vocal cords until he has the opportunity to get his voice into shape again.

He definitely hit those high notes because the track was softer than his live voice and during moon he went for it. He sounded amazing. Especially during the astronaut rinut when he hit their love you high notes. That was real power behind it phew. And Its even more impressive because an army recorded from outside the venue when he was rehearsing and he sounded amazing there too

@@psychokitty71 He did hold out his mic during Moon's chorus to let ARMY sing it for him, but he did the high notes after the bridge and did the high chorus in the end. He did not do all the chorus the whole song to prepare his voice for the high note at the bridge. @opaquea2448 was right - the backing track was way softer and you could clearly hear his live voice over it even his breath. Esp during the "I love you" part in the Astronaut. Not sure if you watched the whole performance or only clips from fan cams. Coz even a five year-old kid can easily determine that he was singing live and hitting those notes. Jin's live voice is never to be doubted 💜 He's just too good.

The thing I love about BTS that they are so grateful for what the fans make for them that they make sure we, their fans , know this. What he did as not a surprise because they genuinely love armys. There were 1,000 who won the raffle for the first session (the hug event) and an additional 3,000 for the 2nd session (the show/performance), for a total of 4,000 armys. Winners were chosen through a raffle, number of entries depended on the number of albums bought during chap2 (Proof and after, group or solo) + you had to have ARMY membership to enter the raffle.

Initially the parameters were pretty strict in order to enter the lottery. You were required to purchase several albums from a list that the company published in order to be able to put in an entry. There was a loud outcry from army because most of us had already purchased all of these albums listed already and we were being required to purchase them again. So Hybe relented and allowed previous purchases to count toward the entry. This is what Jin was apologizing for during the live. He said he had not been paying enough attention to the requirements.

I woke up at 4am PST to catch Festa and it was unbelievable experience, I will never forget it. Jin did so well and I shed tears, screamed and all the while trying to stay quiet so I wouldn't wake up my family. There is a replay now. Apparently Jin came back on the 12’th and he wasn’t allowed to work on anything on that day. So as soon as 0:00 O’clock kst hit, he went into the studio to record the 2’nd verse of Super Tuna and then performed it the next day! He loves us so much!🥹 Also I love Jin’s arc with Super Tuna. First he released it for fun on his birthday then ARMYs loved it so much that we charted it everywhere and made it viral. He was so embarrassed 😳…. Now he seems to have accepted his fate though 😂😂

Yoongi will actually be discharged last out of all of them. He had to do civil service because of his shoulder and it's 21 months instead of 18. Hobi is back in October, the other 4 will return before Festa next year, and Yoongi about a week after.

Jimin and JK were assigned in the same Division as Jin - 5th Infantry though JK and Jimin were in a different Company while Jin was in Company 10. So Jimin's hug with Jin was truly deep and precious. Before they knew Jin Hyung was just there, same base. now, he's not.

the way he threw the boquet is so Jin. that is savage Jin in a funny way. rememered the way he cut the cake in his last bday. I think he also did it to wootteo in his Buenos Aires live. even in the Festa program during the Eat Jin segment, he did it to the napkin. He is so cute and funny.

the hug event lasted only 1 hour. I bet seokjin went backstage after that and told the staff, "I told you I could do 3000" 😂 Edit: you're right! Jimin's hug was kind of a farewell too since Him, Jungkook, and Jin were in the same base! albeit they prolly only see each other in passing since they aren't in the same troupe, but I bet it was comforting for Jimin to know his hyung was in the same place as him.

I would highly recommend watching Korean Englishman "Korean navy boot camp day 1,2,3 and 4". British guys experience what Korean guys have to go through once enlisted. It feel it would give you a better idea of what Jin has experienced! :)

We are slowly coming back together again. And it feels like we were missing pieces of ourselves without them. But we are realizing that they have been there all along. Piece by piece. We are coming back together. The beginning piece is with Jin. We shall have our boys back together soon!
