Astrid, a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner for over 25 years, introduces a flow for vitality and calm, specifically the spleen flow, which she has practiced nearly every day.
The spleen, a crucial lymphatic organ located in the upper left abdomen, plays a vital role in cleaning the blood, supporting the lymphatic and immune systems, and detoxifying the body.
This flow is particularly beneficial for relieving mental stress, anxiety, fatigue, and for enhancing overall focus and vitality.
To practice the spleen flow (2 minutes between each):
1. Coccyx Hold: Place your left hand palm against the coccyx (tip of the spine).
2. Heel Hold: Place your right hand on the inside of the right heel, under the ankle.
3. Rib Hold: Release the right hand and place it on the left last rib at the waistline.
4. Chest Hold: Move the left hand over to the right chest for a comforting and soothing hold.
5. Collarbone Hold: Finally, shift the left hand to the left base of the collarbone.
This flow can be done sitting or lying down comfortably. Close your eyes, relax your hands, and hold each position as part of the sequence or individually as needed.
Practicing this flow regularly can help keep energy levels up, clear and calm the mind, and soothe the nervous system.
Astrid encourages daily practice for revitalization and improved well-being.
