Thanks. The clarity with which you explain things, together with the visual aspect, the slides, is striking. I think if you concentrate on that, this site will be very successful. Most instructional videos fall down here. They don't bring the viewer/listener along with them Although I didn't get to what I needed today (how to format bold/italic), it's set me on the path.

How do you get trim_blocks and lstrip_blocks to work. Th Jinja documentation states: "With both trim_blocks and lstrip_blocks enabled, you can put block tags on their own lines." but I have not got it to work. Can you help?

I find irrelevant banter distracting. Like so many other tutorials this is based on the code to be written. That demonstrates how to analyse the code maybe, but not how to WRITE it ! The writing is easy if you know what the code has to do, but almost NO tutorials tell you! This particular subject could be explained far better with diagrams - preferably animated. That would show how blocks of text are copied from one template to another. Even a child would understand that!
