What is a ghost note?

@@twistedmetal56 Ghost notes are soft notes played on the snare (technically on any of the drums or cymbals really) that have no real "attack" or count to the actual measure. Listen for the soft snare fills Vlad does throughout for example edit: softer accented notes is probably the best way to listen for them tbh

It's a remote hat for pedal washes

Remote hats....and big ones...for pedal washes and chicks. Put out front a bit to minimize sound bleed from the rest of the kit. Everything Vlad does, from drum and cymbal choices, equipment positioning, mic usage and playing is meticulously chosen and done with a purpose.
