I love this reaction because you were surprised about the clean vocals and not the growls. 99% of people who first react to Jinjer, they react to the song "Pisces", and that song starts the other way around. Clean vocals followed by growls so the surprising part for most is the growls. Anyways, love your reactions. Hope you do them more frequently.

I’ve love death metal and have played in multiple death metal bands myself so that vocal style is pretty standard but when she really opened up?! I was stunned! She has a beautiful voice. She’s very versatile she could kill it in any genre no question. I wasn’t just shocked by her cleans but the fact she’s an actual legitimate vocalist. And like I said not just in metal in music over all. Her Talent is obvious along with the rest of the band that are also clearly phenomenal. The level of musicianship in this band is ridiculous they’re all on the same level complete masters of the craft. Usually every band will have one standout for their ability but this band is equal across the board. I don’t know if people realize how rare that is.

I mean, admittedly, Tatiana is incredible and it is difficult to not single her out and acknowledge her ... but the band as a whole, all of them are incredible. Their bassist quickly became one of my favorites. He integrates slapping and jazz and tapping without going full virtuouso with it. He adds so much to their songs without stealing the show or anything. If you get into them, I'd really suggest taking a few listens to just hear what all is going on with that bass.

I saw them open for Devil Driver in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. I came specifically to hear Jinjer. Most of the crowd didn't know who they were, but by the end of the first song, Jinjer had won them all over. They blew the doors off the small venue. So amazing live.

Jinjer has been performing daily to several times a week for the past decade with only interruptions to visit family and write and record new songs. Mostly because before the past few years, they weren't all to well known yet and only way they could make any money from their music was to go play live. So yeah, they are well seasoned live performers that somehow still find the time to write unique new material along the way.

Jinjer stands alone, there really is no one else like them. Cool seeing someone who doesn't react to Pisces first, that being said, I've seen a lot of people become metalheads because of that song. Honestly it doesn't matter what order you listen to their songs in, they're all good. They have 2 EPs and 3 albums with a 4th on the way. My personal favourites are Perennial and Cloud Factory

Some of my personal favorites in no particular order (even though numbered) are: 1 - Sit Stay Rollover (my introduction to the band & probably their most aggressive speed-wise) 2 - Желаю значит получу (I want it I'll get it) (Pretty much hardcore all the way through & just sheer pissed off sounding especially in the Russian language) 3 - Who is Gonna Be the One Live (taken at the same show as this one) 4 - Captain Clock Live at Resurrection Fest 5 - Ape (from their newest EP) 6 - Perennial (same as above) 7 - Outlander (some sick grooves going on in this song) 8 - Cloud Factory (either normal official video or official live video) Another band to check out would be Nervosa. 3 female Brazilian thrash metal. Kill the Silence &/or Raise Your Fist (both from their newest album), Hostages &/or Death (both from the previous album I believe and then there's Masked Betrayer I believe from their first. Been trapped Beneath the Remains for too long so I might need to Arise to see what I find. I am afraid though that all I'll find is Chaos A(fter) D(eath). An awesome & kinda a signature thing about their songs is the ending sections - just when you think they can't get any more heavy or brutal, they swing for the fence and rip your face off. No Hoard of Value, Sit Stay Roll Over, Teacher, Teacher and so many more have that trait.

Yes yes yes!! Fuck yeah man. That was a great song to pop your cherry on. There's so many good ones. Eventually you'll have to check out Pisces live studio play through, not as hard as this but a great vocal display from clean to really deep natural growl. But,....
