This theory is so compelling. All parts of it. I do think you are right on the whole "They were human" bit. The punishment aspect fits the gods very well. I don't think the god of light "built" the souls that occupy the relics. But, that fourth soul. The Staff. It's hard to find any information yet revealed that links to a soul, outside the Osma, Salem and the nation leaders that angered the gods. Im gunna have to watch and go through it all again looking for anything that references someone else who may have upset the gods.

I'm only 4 minutes into the video but I believe the writers have said in the V6 commentary that humanity's re-evolution was expedited by the magic purple dust that each human left behind when they were destroyed (hence why Salem says 'Man, born from dust' back in the volume 1 premiere) but they couldn't fit that into the episode itself, so the time jump was closer to something like a few thousand years rather than millions of years

This video gave me a new theory as to how Jinn and the Lamp work. I think Jinn may be a byproduct of the Lamp's true function. The Lamp noticeably has only been used to reveal information already known to other characters, which might be the result of it's limitations. We weren't told the exact ability of the Lamp, but it we were specifically told it can't tell anything about the future. I think the reason for that is because one of the lamps functions is to observe Remnant and record everything. It's constantly watching Humans and Faunus while simultaneously having been created with the knowledge of the Old Humanity and their experiences. It's knowledge of Remnant's history constantly evolved as new things were created, and the Lamp evolved with it. By design, Jinn wasn't meant to be human, but God of Light creates things with the potential to change or be changed. Jinn is basically a magic AI, designed to manage all the information stored in the Lamp's seemingly limitless space. Jinn started to form her own personality as she was left to observe for many eras, and witness the actions of every individual on Remnant. Her appearance resembles the Gods to an extent, but with a number of human traits added. Jinn is likely chose to alter her form, taking traits she liked from individuals who existed on Remnant before her. Jinn is simply a fragment of the God of Light's power that was "programmed" to serve a specific function and evolved into something more human overtime. She may not have even originally started out with a human appearance, but rather changed herself to display the differences from her original design.

I have one question that I think might have been covered and I missed it but in regards to your theory in the evolution of humans on remnant..... in the very first scene in the series, narrator Salem said “Man, born from dust...” does that change anything? Unrelated to what I just asked.... anyone else notice that both gods had horns? FAUNUS. I think the Faunus were on remnant long before humans (the second time around) and humans evolved from Faunus. Adam might have hinted at this when he said “we have everything humans have and more”. Which is true. The only difference between them is that humans lack an animal trait. I see you Rooster Teeth. Great theory! I don't feel like the writers are thinking as hard about it as you are. I never noticed the daughter's outfit looks so suspiciously like Jinn. I feel like if they were purposely having each daughter represent a relic/ruler, they would use the one that matches the maiden they also represent. The daughter dressed as Jinn is the oldest, with a winter color scheme, so she should go with the staff, and whichever one is spring (green or pink dress, not sure which one) should go with the lamp. I think Oz absolutely created the maidens with his daughters in mind, and he was the one who decided which relic each one could unlock, so it's weird to have a lamp reference in the winter daughter's outfit. That makes me wonder if it's just a coincidence.

Slight correction and this may have been a slight error. But the body Ozma was in was his second one after his reincarnation ability. First was the guy he came into when the God of Light sent his soul back to the mortal real that had a family with Salem before being destoryed. The body with Jinn would be his second one. Also based on what we know of the staff and it's spirit, ye you just say the spirits name and they come out freezing time and then you say what you want.

Right now it is presumed that each relic has a person-like Jinn inside it. Jinn is Knowledge and Ambrosius is Creation, and each "host" has a personality that is usually related to the relic itself like Jinn is similar to a librarian wanting to share knowledge with others, while Ambrosius is an inventor and a person who likes to think outside the box but he gets bored very easily. I would estimate that the Relic of destruction has a war-obsessed personality and he always wants destruction and compels his wearer to destroy witch is his drawback like Jinn only 3 questions every 100 years and Ambrosius where his creations disappear when another one is created, and finally choice I would like to think that the "host" is female for the relics to have equal gender "hosts" and think that choice thinks f herself as high and mighty and she only works for someone if they have gathered the other relics or they are not "worthy" in her mind. She shows her wearer an important choice they will have to make and the outcomes of each but her drawback is that she decides what is important and what is not, like the choice between whether to join Salem or Ozpin would be important to her, but a choice that would end the user's life would not be important to her. I still think that choice is female but choice could be the king and the barbarian is destruction. Also, the sword could have looked like the relic of destruction or the crown, but she can't reveal their identities. I hope you read this

all i have to say is that, I dont believe the second wave of humans were the product of evolution, as it is said in episode 1, "Man, born from dust" as said by Salem, and then in Season 6, it was said "Man could no longer perform magic.. atleast, not like before" as Ozma is looking at dust crystals. So then, the Magic Humans, were turned into Dust by the GoDarkness, and Man rose from the Dust, with only a portion of magic left inside them, their Semblences.

Interesting "rabbit hole" as you call it, although the storyline does leave many details out, and I think that's on purpose. Because every fan base have their section of geeks that over think it, and being as they've left out so many details that have no per se right or wrong answer, it just feeds into it, I mean lets face it, originally Ruby's mothers grave marker wasn't even originally that, but was added to the story later. One does have to wonder how did humanity return. Evolution is a fine idea but takes a bit long. Ruined a little based on the fact that Salem develops her powers more with the dark pools as the story progresses and creates more powerful grim. Had she been sitting around for 2 million or even 40 million years, she would have more than likely perfected these skills long ago. And lets not overlook the whole sanctimonious thinking of the gods. Immortality as a punishment to learn the value of life and death ? How is not being able to die going to ever teach that since compared to real life it is death that usually teaches or "breaks" people into understanding or submission ? Not to mention after her little dip in the dark pools, she is consumed with destruction. A different creature all together, not to go without saying that gods shouldn't be shortsighted and leaving their toys lying around. So they were willing to destroy all of man kind to teach one girl a lesson even though not all kingdoms fought against the gods, just the prospect that some men's hearts can be influenced was enough for total condemnation.........something is not only pretty backwards in that thinking but also a monumental condemnation of women. Oh sure, take a look around and you will find mostly its the girls that are over powered and rule the roost in action, bravery, etc. You'd almost think it was some feminists wet dream of empowerment since Qrow is a drunk with bad luck, Ozpin fallible and Ironwood giving into fear.................but.....this single woman, last of the race at the beginning is shown to be selfish, stubborn, emotionally unhinged and deflecting of any blame. Not much of a role model, even when she was completely human by any standards.. Although I will give credit where credit is due, it sounds like you've made a reasonable argument for Jinn being human previously, though in all the parallels you drew, it could easily have been explained away as the similarities, designs, etc are all due to creator laziness or pattern borrowing with no real intent for all these connections. Being the "stumble into it nature" the series has had, i'm more likely to believe that....but good job on the mental exercise.

I really don't see how everyone can think that this is such a great theory. Even considering that this video was uploaded before the reveal of Ambrosius, this is really just a lot of grasping at broken straws in my opinion. The character you reference for being Jinn doesn't look like her, the "connections" you seem to be making are all highly convoluted and don't actually tie together at all unless you try jamming a ripped piece of cardboard into the puzzle. Not to mention that it is already canon that not every relic holds an avatar, such as the Relic of Choice. It's disappointing that this was the first video of yours I've watched. While I understand that you claim this to be a "chaotic" theory, it just comes across as far-fetched and conspiratorial.
