In the manhwa, one of the prisoners was faking his death. Jinwoo knows it and brought him to the boss area. Let the prisoner fight the boss goblin and it’s horde while watching and letting him die. It’s one satisfying thing to read and shows the “dark” path he was leading to.

I think not adapting execution scene is very good decision, Sung Jin-Woo in Manhwa and even Novel was too dynamic character, the last time he felt compelled to kill in order to save his life, which he could not accept until the end, and literally days later executes a prisoner deeming him unworthy of life? It doesn't make much sense because the loss of emotion is gradual as he himself says, by this point he should not yet be a cold-blooded killer and follow the "Kill or be Killed" philosophy. Anime makes his change of character not so sudden and edgy. But that's my opinion, I know many of you would like to see him being badass by throwing the prisoner to the boss room, but I think anime did it better for the consistency.

So definitely the most interesting part that was cut from this episode, after the whole fight and Jinwoo telling Jiwoo and Song to leave, he actually waits there, and we find out that one of the convicts is still alive and playing dead, but Jinwoo with his heightened senses knows this. He walks up to the convist telling him he knows he's still alive and drags him with him to the boss dungeon, where he emotionlessly throws him inside to fight the boss all by himself, and Jinwoo just watches from a distance seeing the convict get massacred while thinking "Kang Taeshik was scum, but he was right about one thing, you don't deserve to live either". It was a big move that they cut this part out. I think its because it makes Jinwoo way too ruthless, but I wish they kept it. The convicts truly didn't deserve to live.

In the anime when Kim was saying his last words to Jinwoo and Jinwoo said "How else can I keep blaming you?!"; in the manhwa the translation was "you must stay alive so that I can hate you". I feel like the wording in the manhwa has more of an impact. (Also, in the light novel Jinwoo does not actually get to have any last words with Kim because by the time he finds him after fighting Kang, Kim has already passed).

cool episode.. in the manhwa the last criminal was still alived and was adamantly demanding jinwoo to take him out of the dungeon.. jinwoo knew of what he did to the girl who killed herself.. so he dragged that criminal and threw him where the hobgoblins where at and they torn him apart and ate him :D .. yup he got the runestone as loot so he got stealth now.. :) A rank monsters and humans are different because of intelligence..

As to how he stole his ability, it wasn't a Jinwoo exclusive thing. It was a rune. Different runes can be found in different dungeons and can grant different abilities. The assassin dude got that ability through the rune. By killing a person, anyone that is a hunter can steal their rune and use it for themselves.

Carters note on how the fight is woven in with the story is exactly my idea of a good battle shounen, it tells the story thru battles but not just any kind of empty fight just to fight. Naruto, Bleach, DBZ, all these big shounens are great because their stories are told thru philosophies of battle, of death and life, on the purpose of life, the tension gives the emotional spectrum of the situation and between those that participate in it. I would even say that is why One Punch Man works despite being a pure peak power fantasy, most fails and stays mediocre because they forget to tell a story.

5-5:40 Jinwoo was always going to interfere if Sung was in real trouble, he's seen him fight many times before. What Jinwoo was doing though, is that he was assessing the situation, identifying the enemy's attack patterns and speed etc. He's always been an analytic before he was ever a fighter. That being said, he may have also been secretly wishing that the enemy was a C ranker and that Sung + Joohee can take him out alone without revealing himself to anyone, but that doesnt mean he wasn't going to intervene when things got out of hand, he even let Sung do his close range magic attack (because again, he knows how Sung fights and that he's a fire mage from episode 1 and raiding with him), and he needed to be sure that when he went in to fight, that he was in it to win.

In this world skills are VERY rare, this stealth of the purple dude can be noticed by someone stronger cuz they have more magic sensitivity, so this ability is not S rank level, it's just high B to low A rank ability, Sung jinwoo will have to use it wisely, cuz agaisnt sensitive enemies it doesn't work properly as it should.

A-rank hunters are not above A-rank bosses. In solo leveling hunter ranking scales lower than dungeon and monster ranking. 1 S-rank and a few A-rank hunters are required to finish A-rank dungeons, and multiple S-rank hunters and/or a National level hunter is required to finish an S-rank dungeon (These are global level disasters, a lot of em go unfinished and have dungeon breaks, Jeju Island is inhabitable today, and an S-rank dungeon destroyed most of the western US). So S-rank bosses are stronger than S-rank hunters, and same goes for all the ranks below.

The episode is already out and watched so it's not a spoiler but a part of this episode they didn't show so here's one amazing thing about this episode's arc in manhwa that they didn't show in here thou it was merely for seconds but one of the prisoner was alive and acting dead and jinwoo knew it all along and when jinwoo was about to get in to kill the boss of the dungeon he grabbed and took him in along with him to suffer as they made someone's daughter suffer and jinwoo couldn't ignore that fact and he let the monsters kill the prisoner and then he finished the dungeon it was so so cool and made me admire jinwoo so much!🥺❤️

This episode changes something from the source material that I think they shouldn't have changed because it says a lot about Jinwoo's character development. (read below) p.s. Maybe they'll show it in the next episode, but I'm pretty sure not. Actually, one of the prisoners was just pretending to be dead. After Jinwoo beat the assassin, he called out the prisoner and thought he was being saved, but Jinwoo brought that prisoner inside the boss room and let the goblin and other monsters inside kill him. Jinwoo punished the guy for assaulting the daughter of the man who paid the assassin. In this episode, Jinwoo entered the boss room alone, but in the source material, they entered together and threw the prisoner to the monsters.
