Excellent. What a great scholar Ghamdi Sahib is. Perhaps the greatest at least in sight at the moment. The religious scholar with equally strong grip and grasp on history and international relations. See with what clarity he explains world political dilemmas. He squashed the West's theory of Clash of Civilization in so simple words. Pakistan is fortunate to have raised this politico-religious genius but is equally unfortunate not to benefit from him. This interview is a pleasant surprise from Mr. Salim Safi, who is mostly seen as defending the outgoing regime of mega corrupt mafia and wasting his mental energy on pointing out mostly perceived flaws in the anti-status quo regime flouncing for a positive change. A sweetly speaking Mr. Safi would look far sober if he learns to emulate very neutral, objective and liberal mind of Ghamdi Sahib because this is what can be called shear honesty and not the gratification (lifafa) group of journalists present in Pakistan of today because that's just dishonesty.

By far the most lucid and comprehensive analysis of global politics. 1. The clash is not between islam and the west, since muslims countries do not have a strong ideogical base which could pose an existential threat to global western ideologies or communism in particular. 2.the dorment hypernationalist political thought that had been suppressed by post modern ideological grounds has resurfaced again; it is resurgent bcoz of the fact that post modern thought is receding slowly and loosing its grounds globally.

Excellent Safi Sb. I appreciate your program with Gamdi Sb.; I am living here in Northern Alberta, Canada with a present temperature -32 C, extreme cold. I agree with Gamdi Sb that migration is a very difficult step but the reverse is the most difficult decision.
