Every single one of these ufc fighters are insanely tough. These types of videos really show how insane it is that they just power through so much damage and pain in these fights. Anyone who hasn’t been hit hard before can’t even imagine.

Dude...I always say these guys aren't human. Getting hit just once sucks so bad...it's not just like "ouch my face", it rocks your entire fucking world...after one, most people are ready to quit...these guys do it repeatedly in a single night, and over an entire career. Crazy man. These people truly are savages.
@Rocko1990

@Aristides Gonzalezclearly I don't mean they are literally not human. Perhaps I should clarify: they are a different breed of human. And I strongly disagree that everyone could do it. But yes, modern society and the ease of life in the u.s. certainly has a strong effect on the way people turn out, the ability to demonstrate such mental fortitude as these MMA fighters

It's highly improbable to break your neck falling. The real damage is hitting your head on a hard surface. The floor of the octagon and rings are soft.
@Trpmanne

@@darkwing5458 yeah however he jarred his neck when he landed on his head, you can see how his neck gets crunched right into his back. Then his neck snaps back quickly out of that position. It was fucked up man.

My gf, who is not at all familiar with mma, had the exact same reaction. She was far less concerned with the blows received, yet was worried about the way he fell on his head after the KO. It was in fact a particularly brutal KO/fall.

Having been hit in the face and sustaining facial fractures, I have HUGE empathy for what these guys risk. Unlike boxing, this is just one of many types of injuries they risk- not only in the ring but in training. Many injuries occur outside the fight ring when there is little pay to compensate for the risk. The toll fighting takes on the body over the years is like driving your car at 100% light to light. Green, 100% acceleration, then standing on brakes to slow.

@martinasrna1108
@martinasrna1108 3 жыл бұрын
Because MMA combine different types of combat sports and one of them is muay thai where elbows belong. UFC is still light, in Rizin (where Jiri spent 5 years fighting) are allowed also kicks and knees to the head of grounded oponent. Check Prochazka/Satoshi Ishi fight where Jiri finished him with two nasty knees to the head on the ground. Or his fight with Nemkov where he kicked him to the face to make him stand up. Lot of Jiris nastiness comes from Japan.

MMA is so brutal. If you lose, not only do you get embarrassed being beaten up in front of thousands of people (and many more at home watching) but you only get 1/2 your pay, each loss threatens the viability of your career (each loss is basically a demotion), AND you potentially suffer some horrific injuries which Brian brilliantly illustrated.

I am glad actually that you analyzed the consequences of the fight. About a year ago I googled “fighters where are the now?” Or “life after fighting career” ... basically see how life turns out to be for there people after 40, we all admire their abilities and skills, we love watching them fight ( Aldo, gaethje, Silva, Yan, ... and so on) I watch same fight many times. But they all end up with multiple health issues, surgeries, brain damage. MMA is relatively young sport but I’d be curious to see “Where are they now?” For first few like Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell, ... Mirco Crocop

This is literally my 2nd favourite sports (mainly MMA) channel, only coming 2nd to the G.O.A.T. Chael P. Sonnen, the P stands for undefeated.

From Dominator to Dominated. Next time for Reyes,, do not accept a fight if your opponent's name starts with J (Jon, Jan and Jiri) 😂

Scary beating. I don't know, I'm not trying to diminish Reyes resilence but I think it's going to be hard to come back from this one.

Jiri just said in an interview that he was knocked out for 1-2 seconds from the Upkick from Reyes. Thank god the Ref didn't notice, in Jiri's case that is!

not really a reyes fan but his fight against jon jones, whos largely considered the greatest MMA fighter ever was very impressive, but after that he got diced up by Jan in the title fight and then just crushed by Jiri in this fight even though he showed a lot of heart and fight in this bout just for him to get knocked right the fuck out. UFC is brutal man.

I wanted to try martial arts for self protection, but I guess sprint running would be a better bet.
