My father was a British airman, stationed in Italy at the end of WWII. He swam in the Blue Grotto in 1945, when there were no tourists. He told me how magical it was but I had forgotten the story until now. I just looked up this video and had a bit of a cry.

emperor tiberius in person sits in the tiny ticket booth and sells you tickets for the blue grotto for 14 bucks each. he's become a little shaky meanwhile but still a great emperor.

Hilarious! They jack you for the cost of the tour ride and then make you pay to enter the Grotto 😂 Tourists are just unbelievable> I'm surprised they didn't charge you at the end for the boat fuel 😂 It is beautiful though. Now I won't have to visit 😂

Capri is beautiful but it was also the pleasure palace of Nero and Caligula, where they had countless people killed for their entertainment and other unmentionable things went down.
