FINALLY JJ gave a performance, he acted the dance, he smiled and it made me smile too... it was truly lovely and cute. Great musicality, brilliant partnership with Amy, amazing synchronization of steps, it had a lot of actual charleston content in it, JJ's swivels were truly nice. He has finally came out of his shell, he really acted the dance for the first time, he didn't miss a bit and a step, his footwork was respectable, clean and precise. His swivels could have been much more compact and smooth but still it was very good and actually for me it was JJ's BEST DANCE SO FAR! My score: a 7

Support him all the way. Although his disability restricts movement he is a joy to watch. I am glad the public have supported so long. And sad that I read comments saying that he needs to go. Can you imagine what he would be able to do with full use of his body - i think he would blow everyone out of competition. Maybe instead of having a token disability in the show they should have a series with all disability dancers to give them a chance of winning.

I think we’ve reached the point that JJ has gotten as far as he can go. This choreography although performed well was much more basic than the rest of the celebs left in the competition. His swivels need more elevation in the heel and i would have liked to have seen some more energy in the performance overall. A truly valiant effort from JJ it’s a shame the standard of the rest of the competition has ran away from him. 7/10

Aww loved this 🥰 it reminded me of my childhood every Christmas or Easter watching this movie with my Grandad Bill. We would go to visit my grandads brother Tom and Great Aunt Irene and Albert and Louie, sit in the lounge with the quality streets chocolate and Christmas cake and watch this. I found Dick Van Dyke singing Hushabye mountain be relaxed and comforted. Then as soon as the child catcher came on the screen I would scream, get anxious, panic and jump onto my grandad Bill’s knee, squash his cigarettes in his pocket and hide behind the cushion until he disappeared. I still get panicky when that scene comes on the screen. But happy childhood memories of my grandad.

I think it's brilliant to see how far JJ has made in the competition however he is out of his league compared to the other celebs and this would be the perfect time for him to go. This Charleston definitely had a lot of the simple steps in it and I feel like it was lacking the Charleston characterisation and energy for me so they were playing it safe and didn't go for a super technical faster Charleston. Haven said that he didn't miss a single step and didn't miss a single beat and I actually think this was one of his best performances, 7!
@markwilkinson20954 жыл бұрын

He played the story well and his swivels were lovely and great leg action and musicality. It was very cute and sweet but far too laid back for the Quarter Finals. It was always gonna be hard for him seeing as he can't do lifts. It was probably his best non Ballroom dance and he has improved but not enough for this stage sadly. It didn't have the goffiness or energy a Charleston should have. I think it is his time to leave the show. He's been an inspiration and a tremendous man but enough is enough. He isn't up to the standard of the rest. It was wonderful he was in the army and I have upmost respect to him but I have to say that he's only gotten this far for his personality and being in the army. The bit of Charleston he did was good but it was way too stroppy and starty. However a stronger tall Charleston fir sure. *7/10*

honestly loved this dance!! personally i think they were slightly undermarked for this dance compared to the rest of they couples and in relation to the comments from the judges too!! this was such a different side to jj and i’m glad we got to see this. the comments about the choreo were unfair as it is a speciality dance so it was choreographed by an outside pro (not amy) so it’s unfair to mark them on the choreo they were provided with. they are honestly having the time of their lives and i really really hope they get through to the semi finals next week 🤞🏼

Now that Musicals week is here, I am still scared for JJ to leave tomorrow. I mean the routine was decent, the swivels were clean and some form of Jitterbug/Swing content was nice. He had the character and the choreography right. He really understood his character and portrayed him in such an entertaining way. There is a but though. His swivels needed more heel elevation and it lacked the energy levels of the Charleston. The Charleston is a very energetic dance and I didn’t see that. Also, at some points might I say it looked like a faulty engine with the stop start thing. But wonderful characterisation, it was synchronised and overall I enjoyed the dance. 8
