The only thing we’ve seen JJ do is pot. Assuming you’re American, I know you probably hear a lot about how “bad” pot is, it’s a gateway drug, etc. It’s not really true. They all seem to smoke pot in Outer Banks, and that’s pretty normal. It’s not much different than how they drink beer even though they’re underage. In Canada pot is legal just like alcohol. You can go into stores and buy it, order it online, etc. It’s just like alcohol. It’s not a big deal. Pot is actually less addictive than alcohol. Justin was addicted to black tar heroin and later started taking Oxy. Those are serious, addicting, life ruining drugs, one of which is a prescription medication (opiates, which are prescription drugs, are actually causing the current large drug problem in America). Two totally different situations. Don’t equate a kid who smokes some pot with a kid who has serious drug problems.

I always liked his character and not only bc i thought he was attractive. I liked how even through his hardest times he tries to stick up for and take care of his friends. It really hurt my heart to watch the scenes where he was being abused or hurt. Rudy Pankow did a great job portraying this character and I’m glad he was able to show JJ’s pain. Overall this character is really great.
