I LOVE JJs take, It drives me crazy when people don't understand that the illegal defense changes were far more important that the fouls. For the same reason, Kobe Bryant's career is horribly underrated, as the game took a while to adjust to the new rules and add a lot of shooters to space the floor, Kobe faced constant soft double and triple teams, something that Jordan just never had to deal with.

What you left out is it was fairly easy to double if not triple team Kobe because his passing ability was mediocre at best, making him predictable on offense, everybody knew he wanted to shoot it. LeBron on the other hand is an elite passer, so if you consistently soft double, he is going to kill you all day long with court vision. Kobe would shoot threw doubles which hurt his efficiency significantly, however, Bron would just find the open man, forcing you to stay honest defensively allowing open lanes for himself.

Because his not all around position in 80s? now LeBron is the Goat the greatest scorer of all time? Because of same achievement if we not bias that is ridiculous remember LeBron James is the most supportive Carrer in history social media and cherry picking super team much more power than coach and stuff I ever witness I wonder why some of his fans want more but it's not cuz debate can't be settled forever, ESPN and fans support LeBron by saying LeBron deserve to have a championship without winning the league that's ridiculous LeBron needs help etch he got everything he needs whats more? but majority of peaple not saying his not the greatest of all but sadly his fans are want more that makes them sad. LeBron gain another achievement as a legacy which Wilt, next is Kareem and that's phenomenal too 👍🏻

JJ brought up a very valid point about the pace of possessions. As an exercise science/kinesiology major, we learn that the leading cause of injury across the board is “wear and tear” and stress on the tendons/ ligaments (micro tears) without a proper and lengthy recovery. Your body needs proper and quality time to recover especially in joints with the ball and socket mechanism due to them having great mobility, but less stability. Exercise at a high intensity/pace day in and day out is incredibly taxing on the body even with proper strength and mobility exercises. You must also think about cartilage degeneration with repeated action over time. Staying healthy and on top of your game for as long as Lebron has is mind-boggling and many suspect him of taking/spending millions on researched steroids without significant adverse effects to enhance his recovery to an unprecedented degree.

Lebron is naturally a genetic freak anyway, but it's easier for him to stay healthy with modern medicine. It's well documented how much money he spends maintaining the health of his body, along with today's rules where you're not hitting the hardwood or being abused on the court nearly as often. One thing that is not considered is that the league is way more talented now, and kids are playing basketball more and at earlier ages, which contributes to a lot of injuries in the game now. But he is wrong. Lebron is at best 3rd greatest scorer of all time, at best 3rd best scorer. He has most points than everyone else, but that's the record for longevity, congratulation to Lebron because he jas the most consistent scorer in the history of this game and that's why he has the most points ever, but we also have to talk about their peak. I'm sorry, but Jordan won 10 SCORING TITLES IN HIS 13 SEASONS WITH CHICAGO, 10 SCORING TITLES. He has highest points per game average in NBA history in both regular season and play offs. Lebron won only 1 scoring in his career and some people can argue that Lebron wasn't even the best scorer in his era because 2010s was clearly Lebron's era, he was the best in that time, you can argue that Kevin Durant was better scorer than Lebron. More points eopr game in his best season, 4 scoring titles, much more efficient player than Lebron and simply when ypu watch jow he plays, he is probably the most versatile scorers of all time. Jordan was light years better scorer than everybody else when he played, miles ahead of the rest of the competition and to say that Lebron with 1 scoring title and with his scoring recordis the greatest scorer in the history of this game is to me ultimately too much. 1. Jordan 2. Kobe 3. Lebron /KD/Kareem.

JJ just gave a longevity speech. Doesn’t mean he was a better scorer than MJ. Just means he played longer and had a longer peak than MJ. That’s like saying Tony Parker was a better scorer than prime Derrick Rose, because he has more career points and rings. Anyone who saw them both play, knows that’s ridiculous. TP was an underrated scorer too, due to Pop’s system. But he still wasn’t f*cking with prime D Rose. Injuries not talent and ability, is why he doesn’t have more points than Parker. JJ’s critique is devoid of context. He’s just spouting stats. Nevermind how long MJ played versus Lebron. Nevermind, how the pace of the game is much faster and higher scoring, for the last 8 seasons. Nevermind, MJ has a career average of 30.1 over 15 seasons, without shooting many 3s. This is more of a recency bias issue. Younger fans think Lebron is a better scorer and that’s their right. I saw both their careers like Kobe’s. Lebron is not a better pure scorers and isn’t as skilled offensive as MJ or Kobe. He a better passer and better downhill, that’s it. Just because Giannis is averaging more than KD and Steph, doesn’t mean he a better scorer. Those guys can beat you so many different ways. Giannis is all raw power, but to his credit his jumper has improved. I also think he deserves MVP or Embiid not Jokic. I don’t agree with Russo, because Kareem’s scoring was limited to the blocks. MJ, Kobe and Lebron could score from anywhere on the court. In terms of big men and just putting points on the board in the paint, then it’s Wilt. Kareem played longer than Wilt. Lebron played longer than Jordan. Doesn’t mean they were better scorers, they just accumulated more points.

The players committed those "hard" fouls because that was the only way to get a foul called. Players were much more physical in Jordan's day because the officials let them play physical. LeBron Scoring Titles: 1 Michael Jordan Scoring Titles: 10 Sorry LeStans this isn't even a debate. LeBron isn't even the best scorer among his peers as there are players in the league with more scoring titles than him. The record speaks to his health and longevity not to him being the greatest scorer ever lmao.
@S63guy2 жыл бұрын
@@dungoncrazy2634 u do realize people that usually have scoring titles don’t do nothing else for real but score so yeah if bron just focused on scoring I’m sure he could win scoring titles …. bron has lead the playoffs and finals in scoring,rebounding,and assist like come on bruh that man has way more on his plate than just scoring… Jordan to the KDs and Hardens just had 1 or two jobs on the team and 90 percent of it would be to score
@jaylou87212 жыл бұрын
Yes, at the end, Stephen A. had to admit JJ, YOU'RE RIGHT, listen closely he said it so it was a productive take That's how debating should work

@@S63guy Is this debate not about who the better scorer was/is? Is scoring titles not relevant in that debate? When these silly comparisons get made somebody has to inject you guys with some truth serum and the fact of the matter is he isn't even the best scorer among his peers let alone a better scorer than the GOAT Michael Jordan.

Hahaha JJ schooled the old man about basketball.😂
@danielkim6722 жыл бұрын
no he did not. It is much easier to score today than in the 90s. The wear and tear of getting smashed is worse than running around more possessions a game, and ones where people take breaks on defense and do not try. Lebron has a pass as he is old but he is a master at this. Many younger players in their 20s take 20% of plays off while on the court. and these are so called stars
@0zzkan2 жыл бұрын
@@danielkim672You have to acknowledge that people are not easier to defend in todays game. Skill level is much MUCH higher nowadays.
@danielkim6722 жыл бұрын
@@0zzkan I would say much much higher but not more effective. The only reason it is harder to defend in 2023 is you can not even breathe on a player, or you get a foul. You can not pummel them from getting an easy layup or you get a flagrant 2. People dribble, pass and have better footwork, but most players in NBA today, do not use them to the advantage that make them better on offense. Only the elites. Most are still very inefficient in terms of their shooting. They just get more layups and dunks as the lane is wide open to them.

@@danielkim672 i assume you don't play basketball or any other contact sport. Bruises hurt, but they aren't going to take years off your career. You know what does do that? Injuries due to repetitive use, explosive actions or movements that the body can't deal with. Those injuries happen way more often when you are moving more, with more fast breaks, more possessions and more movement off the ball

jjs face when they were picking the best scorers, he was tryna hold back so badly
@ninocrown32472 жыл бұрын
Well Kareem had the record and MJ has the highest career scoring average without shooting many 3s, in a game with much less spacing and hand checking. MJ is far more creative offensively, more clutch and a better, reliable FT shooter. So, JJs face is irrelevant. Lebronhas been playing since he was 18 and to his credit has been able to stay healthy thru dedicated conditioning and great genes. But, this notion that if MJ played 20 straight seasons, he wouldn’t have passed Kareem even sooner is idiocy.
@sharifbrown35672 жыл бұрын
@@ninocrown3247 why you worried about hypotheticals? He didn't play 20 seasons because he wasn't able to. So he played 15 instead.
