JJ the baby squirrel settles in - Jerry Squirrel

It turns out that the new baby we found is a boy. We've been calling him JJ for Jerry Junior. He is a few weeks older than Jerry was when we found her so he is not quite as tame as she was, but he's still very nice. He is growing fast and seems to be doing well.
Hopefully in a week or two he will be big enough to go on his own and we can release him in the forest.

He is so precious. So tiny and cute all wrapped up in one. Glad he is doing so well! He looks so tired eating that nut like he is ready for a nap.

Yeah he was very tired the first 24 or so hours after we found him. Who knows how long he had been out of the nest poor guy!

@@JerrySquirrel i can imagine he was dehydrated, hungry and scared. I can't believe how lucky he was that you found him to take care of him and so lucky a cat or other predator didn't get him. A very lucky little boy.
