Those were weird crossed-up waves. At one point JJF surfed over the shoulder of one wave, and tucked into the barrel of a second wave, coming in right behind it, at a different angle. WTF!

The opening right hand wedge reminds me of how the bounce wave at the Ocean Beach Jetty used to break before they redirected the San Diego river mouth into the bay. It’s still a good wave but not even close to the 70’s through 1994ish.

My guess on location is King Island Bass Strait. Don't worry this isn't going to ruin it for the locals, it's a mission to get to King Island, its cold, has big sharks etc etc.
