Pink & Main Card Cut Essentials Dies 3 & 4 Review

Hi, and thank you for your honest review. I am sorry that our dies have caused some frustration for you. The dies actually measure 5.5 x 6 inches from cutting edge to cutting edge, so if you lay your 6x6 paper within the cut lines, it should be okay. I am human, and did all the design work for these, as well as spent hours and hours creating the sketches that we give away with any of the Card Cut Essentials dies purchase. I have corrected the sketches for them. You were correct, they were just flipped. Again, I appreciate your review and will take the feedback into consideration as I design products in the future. -Michelle

Hi Michelle 😊 Oh my gosh I hope you know that I love Pink & Main (please see my haul video from last week), and I truly appreciate all the work you put into designing these die sets and sketches!!! I did try lining up the paper with the cutting lines several times and am just not good at it. I should explain something......I'm autistic and don't do change well, and thought that sets 3 & 4 were going to be the same size as sets 1 & 2 (which I absolutely LOVE), so that was the first problem. It was just frustrating for me adjusting to the difference (that I wasn't expecting) and having difficulty getting them lined up. And it was the same for the sketches.....I was so excited about the card sketches and had already planned out my cards while I was waiting for the dies to arrive. But then everything was backwards and too frustrating for me to make the cards. Too many changes for this autistic old lady. But I actually worked on the cards today and they are on my table waiting to attach the snowman peekers and sentiments.....I just needed time to wrap my head around it. My purpose for the review was to let others know the differences and issues I had so they would know what to expect and not be surprised. I actually talked to a friend after I posted it and asked her if I made a mistake making the review, but she said no. She agreed with me that it helps people make an educated decision. I think I may have pointed out in the video about having to fiddle with it trying to get it lined up with the cutting edges, and also that it didn't bother me not getting that last skinny piece. I also pointed out that they can be used with larger papers, or use scraps. And I also said that even though I wish there were a couple changes, that I am still quite happy with the die sets, and still encourage my viewers to think about getting them and provided links. I tried to keep it positive and honest at the same time. Michelle thank you for watching and leaving a comment and sharing your thoughts. Is it possible for me to get the new sketches? Thank you so much Mynn! They are important things to know so you aren't surprised when you get them. Pretty much everything can be worked around, just not the way you expect when they arrive. For some it might be a deal breaker, for others it might not be a big deal at all.....for me it was frustrating. But I don't want to return them, so I will just make things work. I heard from Pink & Main.....they feel you can use 6x6 papers if you line it up with the cutting edge and not the edge of the die, but that was too fidley and frustrating for me, so I'll just use larger pieces of paper or not cut all at once. I really LOVE the first two sets! I wish these had been the same size. Also, she said she fixed the sketches, so I will have to figure out how to get the corrected version. I can work around the size issue of the other two, but really wish set 4 had come with some layer dies. And the sketches will be interesting, but they were free with the bundle. I'm so glad you liked the review! Hopefully, it will be helpful for you when using the dies. Like you , I bought them as soon as I saw them. I love sets 1 & 2 so much and I thought these were the same size. They will work great on 6x8 papers, or anything longer than 6". I heard from Michelle (Pink & Main), and she said 6x6 will work if you line it up evenly with the cutting edges (not the edge of the die), but that was just to fidley and frustrating for me, so I will use larger papers or not cut them all at once. And she also said that yes the sketches are backwards and that she has corrected that. I'm not sure how to get the corrected version, or maybe I just go back and download it again and it will be the corrected sketches? I'm not sure. Kendra said that their paper is 6 by 6.5.

I'm not sure what Kendra means by "their" paper, but as I showed in the video, the cutting die packaging states it "will cut 6x6 paper". Also, I have Pink & Main paper pads and they say they are 6x6. The only thing that makes their paper 6x6.5 is the hole at the top for hanging.....the area below the hole is 6x6. So if you wanted to count the entire page then you will have a hole in the midst of what you die cut. Also, it would be really sad if Pink & Main were making cutting dies that ONLY worked with "their" papers and not with Not 2 Shabby, Kat Scrappiness, Prima Marketing, and all of the other brands that use the standard 6x6 size. If that were true, it would be a negative in my review because they would be forcing people to buy their paper pads to use the dies. Even Kendra's card challenge sketches are built around the standard 6x6 paper size. But again, the cutting die packaging says "will cut 6x6 paper". Thanks for stopping by 😊
