Hells Paradise ima say no to because it was fun and good and might be a top 3 anime in the next coming seasons but I will admit some other shows out performed it enough. Now Demon Slayer shouldn't be around at all because season 3 was so mid but that goes to show how masses voting isn't a correct choice for objective answers

Not really. It was definitely the best anime of 2023 but it didn't rule. Vinland saga and demon slayer dominated the entire first half of 2023. One piece stole april, may, july and august with sanji vs queen, zoro vs king, and gear 5. Then kept up with jjk's sales throughout the second half of 2023. So it was definitely close.

Nanami and Gojo were half the reason Yuji was getting consistently stronger with his large jumps in power being attributed to Todo. Nobara was his best friend at Jujutsu tech, Yuji bears the burden of everyone sukuna killed, and the death of mahito ushered in a new era for Yuji as a person. All of this trauma gave him a healthy Cursed energy bump for the culling games and honed him into a more refined sorcerer while removing any sense of love and safety he had prior to this moment.

Fight ppl then fight more ppl then die not special just because he had a cool design and voice actor doesn't make him special. Nobara is also a mid plot point because she fake died pretty much but doesn't even live which is dumb. 6000 ppl dying at Shibuya is also nothing. Yuji gets broken because of all the death. Well who cares character development isn't a shounen story a shounen story needs to exist and the characters develop within it. Also Yuji is relatively mid like he is solid but not amazing so acting like a B tier MC having a development arc where ppl die for the sake of death isn't exactly mind boggling story tellings

Thorfinn's character development could have worked in any other anime that isn't about Vikings.
