The kata contains a variety of stances, including front stance (zenkutsu dachi), back stance (kokutsu dachi), and horse riding stance (kiba dachi).
Like other kata, Nijūshiho has both a physical and mental aspect. It helps practitioners develop balance, coordination, focus, and concentration. It also trains them to generate power from the hips and core, as well as improve their breathing and overall body control.
