AFE Rock Basher: amzn.to/2SUwXkG
AFE Momentum GT: amzn.to/2QJP6Pi
What’s up guys!
It’s time to add a new exhaust system to the Jeep Gladiator!
But instead of just making a video on the exhaust upgrade, I decided to do some testing to see if the Cold air intake and exhaust actually made any difference at all!
In this video, we do a lot haha. I know it’s a little long, but we find out some really cool data.
The intake did indeed help out with performance, as well as the cat back exhaust.
Both paired together was an extremely noticeable difference.
I am using the Tazer JL to record the 0-60 tests, and I will make a video on the Tazer soon. Going over all the functions and how to use them.
But, the GIVEAWAY!
I am giving away the AFE rock basher exhaust to one of you guys.
To enter,
You must be subscribed, leave a comment below, and of course, thumbs up the video.
If you noticed, I do have a new bed cover, as well as a little more lift, both of these will be discussed in an upcoming video talking about what all is going on with the Jeep Gladiator, and the future mod and build plans.
Stay tuned for the next video of Cassie and I wheeling the JKU at Windrock park!
Thanks for watching, please leave a comment and don’t forget to give the video a thumbs up!

This video alone made me SUBSCRIBE! This is how you do a proper review. You had a stock base. You tested every combination of exhaust & intake. You weighed all the exhaust systems. Great video of installation and comparison against stock parts. Great sound clips both inside and out vs each combination. Great data to back performance claims. And most important a good honest opinion of what you like best after all is said and done. Best of all your wife's enthusiasm is the greatest! She seems genuine in supporting your hobby and looks to enjoy it herself. I wish you two the best and look forward to watching more of your channel.

Any time I weigh something large and awkward, first I weigh myself, then weigh myself holding the part and then subtract the original weight to get the difference. I've found it's more accurate. Hope that helps. Keep up the good work.

I just bought my wife a 10th Anniversary Rubicon 2dr with the red leather and anvil paint. We have 7 kids and are very excited to start our Dual Jeep Oversized Overlanding Family channel. We will be doing vids with the kids showcasing installs of roof racks, rooftop tents, fridges, winch’s, onboard air, lighting etc and camping trail days with all 9 of us...it’s gonna be craziness! Got a jkur a few months ago after totaling my Nissan Xterra. Wasn’t even looking for a Jeep because there are so many jeeps in Virginia. But I came across this green Jeep that I couldn’t resist. My first standard vehicle and I drove about an hour up to Yorktown to check it out and the rest is history. Runs great aside from a few minor problems that I have been fixing. Getting a ten year old vehicle with 80k miles will have a few issues here and there but working the kinks out I love it and upgraded to falcon 3.3 shocks and metalcloak HD steer kit and looking to do a few more things. But i love the videos and hope to one day catch you out on the trails somewhere in VA one of these days.

Dean Johnson bed racks are cool until it rains or, if you’re in the west like me, your stuff in the bed is covered with sand or dust. There has to be a way to install two Yakima or Thule bars across the metal Diamondback cover to support tents, bikes, kayaks, etc. Plus it would be easier to get your dog in a tent that’s closer to the ground.

I want to win the exhaust, on my 4th jeep, loved the Glatiator when I started seeing it months ago, sold my 2014 JK and bought my Overland about 2200 miles ago. Finished my spray on Rhino Shield berliner, installed my bed cover, 3 piece hard cover, had a cold air box on my JK and really liked the increased performance so that's next. Sounds like a performance exaust would be a perfect fit for my Overlander.

First off love the channel, and your commentary on all of your Jeep vids. As a new member of the Jeep family the Rock Basher would be a sweet start to my JT build. I got my Gladiator a little over a month ago and have been saying the first couple of things I want to do are intake and exhaust. Unfortunately my final look is gonna take a while as I am a teacher and even getting the JT took some sweet talking the wife. That said she does love the JT now and looks forward to the topless time we will get in the coming months. Even still, this would be a great way to upgrade without having to talk my wife into it lol. 👋🏼

Before watching the complete video. Here is my comment for the win. Never install short exhaust systems on jeeps. The sound and vibration they create causes interior rattle. Over a few months of use this will eventually come loose and rattle. I had one on my jku. My gear shift, gear shift cable, door panels and multiple things have to be replace. I tried adding grease to the gear shift and cable connections after disassembling everything. Didnt work. It causes real damage. Only suggested for a jeep that is going to be used 100% for rock crawling or offroad purpose. I must add. The sound on the short one is amazing and hard to say no to but had to purchase a third exhaust. I went from long to short back to long. Ps. I know how to take the jeep apart and put it back together. The things that came lose are within other things that cannot be taken apart. Repairs are going to reach over 1k.

Great Video. I have always wondered how much those upgrades help on a modern vehicle. I had been told that the engineers do a better job of tuning than the used too. You should check your fuel mileage also. I had done the exhaust on a '95 F150. The biggest thing I noticed was I picked up 3 MPG. It was a 302 4x4, so the engine was always working hard and needed the extra flow. I would like to win this for my Gator Gladiator Sport S. So far just step rails and snow tires. I do have Rubicon wheels for the warm months.

So one thing I want to mention also is that your 0-60 times will also be different if you don't have a control factor in the experiment if you will. If you did the initial 0-60 at a different time and the outside temp was different, among other variables then you won't have an accurate comparison. I didn't really catch when all of the 0-6- tests were done. But I thought I hear you say that the initial one was done on a different video. But anyway, you must love doing this stuff cause thats a lot of work for a video, lol. I would like to win the exhaust by the way!! I have a 2020 Gladiator Sport S with max tow package that I'm modding. And I also want to use my gladiator for boat towing when I get my boat this summer so I am trying to mod my glady with the lightest parts I can find. I install an offroad bumper that was almost 100 lbs, ugh. But want to keep the weight down to get the most out of towing also, so the Thrasher short exhaust would be great. I'm curious to know what a true duel exhaust set up would do and sound like!! Like two separate headers and exhaust all the way back.
@JKGearandGadgets
@JKGearandGadgets 4 жыл бұрын
The initial was done about a hour before I started the video. All tests were done within 2 days. I tried to keep the temps as close as possible, but that was hard. From what I’ve gathered in the past, the outside temp doesn’t change it too much as long as the engine is up to temp, the Underhood temp usually controls the intake temp

@@JKGearandGadgets yes, like I said i didnt know in what conditions the first one was done in, you mentioned it was done in another video, so for all I knew it could have been done in the summer vs winter lol. Just get a glass pack resonator for less than 50 and replace the muffler. Run pipe out the right rear corner behind the wheel. You get the open exhaust you need for extra power and the cooler noise goes away off the side out the back corner and you won’t inhale it while hooking up a trailer. With a cold air intake you’ve done all you can do and this stuff adds zip. I paid $75 to have the glass pack welded by a pro shop. $125 total. Not arguing with much more expensive pipes. No pipe is better than any pipe at all but not under the cab.

I would love to win the exhaust. I bought my Gladiator about 2 months ago and have been debating what my first big upgrade will be. Great video!

I need this exhaust. Good luck to everyone, I would put this on my JKU. I am looking to put a Flowmaster super 44 in place of resonator, and deleting rear muffler.

I would love to win the rock basher!! I understand if I can't because mailing anything to Hawaii can be a little much. Either way, really enjoy your content and you both are a fun couple.
