When watching golf videos on KZbin I feel like the instructor is either all over the place, too long winded, or too high level. Your teaching style is so efficient, appropriately detailed, and organized. Thank you!

I am an old guy so first saw him and thought too young. I was wrong. For such a young age his knowledge of the swing is exceptional. I have watched four of his videos and have picked up at least pearl of wisdom. I have been playing for 50 years. Read innumerable books and watched just as many videos. Jonathan please keep it up!

Jonathan, you're a really good teacher. I have private lesson every Saturday. Hope one day you could give me private lesson one on one. I'm working on the driver now & Rory is my textbook driver go-to. Like him, I lift weights. For a woman, I have 6 packs & muscular back. Trying to use Rory's technique to max my driver swings. It's not easy but doable!

Look forward to the rest of the series Jonathan. You have helped me massively with the beginners series of videos, so no doubt this driver series will help too. Keep up the great content.

Super. I am 6ft 4 and my lower body is very fast sometimes so I have to address the ball with 60%on my trail side!! Its work in progress as I was always a 3 wood man because I can hit it as far as my driver!🤔😁 Great video lesson. Thanks

great demonstration and information !!!.....as a golfer struggling to hit consistently good drives and searching for answers, so many others have told me , there is no difference in the set up or swing between the driver and an iron, other than using a tee and playing the ball more forward ....
@JKMGolf2 жыл бұрын
Well most of the mechanics of a driver are quite similar but because the set up position is different and the fact that the ball off the ground and you don’t want to hit down on it then certain change but overall it’s not drastically different

When you set up behind the ball with the driver....do you recommend leaving the big gap or space between the club head and ball? With irons, we generally put the club head very close to the ball.

I tee my ball up about 1/2 over top of driver, but there are days when I seem to hit the ball more toward the top of the clubface. I have ball roughly inside left heel & often wondered if it is because I have not shifted my hips forward enough.

Film yourself from the side view and ensure your forearms are parallel
@duncanmacleod7283 Жыл бұрын
When you say 'in line with the shoulder', where exactly (if possible to define) on the shoulder to you mean? The shoulder is mass is quite big, so is it the outside of the shoulder, the centre of the shoulder or the inner line of the shoulder where the arm meets the torso? Some further clarity would be very helpful thanks.
