Probably about to pull the trigger on this exhaust for my Scout. Two questions, First does it interfere with running passenger pegs? Doesn't look like it would, but curious if you have tried. Second, any suggestions on that flex ratchet you mentioned to get at the bolts?

I have this same exhaust on mine no baffle I'm sure my neighbors hate me, but I love it. Audio on the vid doesn't do these pipe justice.

Yeah - no baffles for me either. I usually try to startup and then idle out to the street so I don't piss off the neighbors :D

One more great video. Covered all the points so well. I'm thinkin of same setup (thanks to you).. Roughly speaking, how much % increase in performance you see after doing trask intake + PV3 + TBR exhaust?
@dadwithabike3 жыл бұрын
I would probably say 15%. I didn't dyno tune with just the Trask so it is hard to say.

Does the exhaust scrape when turning. Love the look of this and the freedom. Looks like the two bros might have more clearance.
@dadwithabike4 жыл бұрын
The TBR has more clearance and doesn't scrape. I roll peg-to-peg often and no scrapes at all
@daltonnadeau13392 жыл бұрын
I have the black 2-1 tbr on mine and it’s scraping pretty hard, I have Indians floor boards on it and those don’t hit first, but I just did the piggy back shocks from Indian and it lifted it up a little to give me more clearance for turns and what a difference in ride! Wicked smooth

I have the Freedom Combat on mine too. Loud but awesome!! I also have the Trask air cleaner and the PV3 tuner. Just. FYI... I needed to go have it custom mapped for the exhaust and the air cleaner. The pre-mapped download for the Freedom Combat 2- was total crap. 79.98hp to rear tire on dyno after time. Almost a 10% increase in power overall.

@@spartan8185 Hey how’s all that treating you now? I’m thinking of getting almost this exact combo (except not sure on the intake. Was between S&S, Trask, and especially Zipper Maxflow). Just wanna get your opinion on it and the tune. Any performance boost from all those mods?
@spartan81853 жыл бұрын
@@hectichive889 PV3 has a truly noticeable impact. If anything the power is so much smoother now. Custom mapped just after I posted the comment and it made the REAL difference. Trask intake alone is not going to really make any noticeable difference in performance or sound but it seems to help when combined with the PV3, the tune and the exhaust. The exhaust is just awesome regarding the sound. It just "lopes" when idling... sounds great! However... the exhaust is so loud that you don't want to listen to it for an extremely long time. I have an HJC helmet and HJC bluetooth speaker/receiver system and I can almost not hear it at cruising speed over the exhaust. My bike is set up for short rides around town and it fills that role well!!

Like the video, curious to see the dyno results, I’d think the Vance and Hines would still gain a bit of performance? I’d like a 2-1 exhaust but in Canada it’s stupid expensive the slash cuts are half the price
@dadwithabike4 жыл бұрын
It had a little gain for me but only like 2 hp or so. The biggest gain I've seen was my intake. I'm hoping for true >100hp and close to 90 ft/lb torque. We'll see tho.

Hey man. Hope you're doing well. I bought this pipe recently and have had issues with it scraping WAY before the pegs do. Have you had any issues with it? I almost wrecked my bike in a hard corner when it made me lose traction from scraping so hard.

Some but not as much as most would. I have 11.5" rear suspension and I have Legend AXEO shocks in the front. The main problem with the bobber is the lean angle and the squishy stock suspension doesn't help. Now that I've done that the exhaust doesn't scrap near as much as it used to.

If you do just slip-on no tune is needed. If you full exhaust you'll want to tune or you will run lean.
