8:28... WOW!! Absolutely GORGEOUS. Every animal featured was just so amazing.. Im not a breeder, myself, but im really into the hobby and i am, not to brag whatsoever, but a 'talented' artist and Mr. Justin, i must say that as far as the Royal Python market goes, you are my favorite Morph Artist.. Not to take away from other amazing breeders like Ozzy, BHB, NERD, B&B, FB, and several more, Theyre all wonderful. The things youve been able to create are INCREDIBLE!! I look up to you as someone to aspire to be comparable to. Great work and God bless you and yours.. It would be awesome to meet you and the crew one of these days! 🙏✌😊

Early! I don't know if this a morph but I think a lesser mojave cypresses would be beautiful
@jerrymanning38762 жыл бұрын
Can you explain what you mean by allelic. The dictionary wasn't clear.
@KINOVAReptiles2 жыл бұрын
Each gene "lives" at a specific location on a chromosome, and since genes come in pairs, you have only 2 "slots" at that location for the gene (one from mom, one from dad). When two morphs (mutations) are allelic, it means they occur at the same location on the chromosome. Since you only have 2 slots to fill at any location, you can only have either 2 copies of one of the mutation, 2 copies of the other mutation, or 1 copy each of both. For example, cinnamon and enchi. You can have a super cinnamon, a super enchi, or an enchi cinnamon. You can't have a super enchi super cinnamon, or an enchi super cinnamon, etc, because there's only 2 slots at that loci. Additionally, if you have an animal that has a pair of allelic genes (enchi cinnamon), when they reproduce the offspring will get one gene or the other, but they cannot get both. Hope that helps!

After being one that got sucked in by morphs, everyone needs a reality check. The babies are magnificent with brilliant colors, BUT THEY ALL BROWN OUT. It is extremely rare that anyone has/shows a picture of an adult snake with those same brilliant colors. What do you think happens to all those beautiful babies that people paid huge sums for when they brown out? Where do they end up? Think about it. The same thing that happened to the tens of thousands of specialty Burmese, Boas, and other species of pythons cranked out by breeders over the last few decades and purchased by people who have an attention span five minutes long. They "disappeared" as soon as their novelty/color faded. These animals live 40+ years! This is why I stopped breeding and I discourage it to this day. I also make it clear to those wanting these babies that they do not stay babies long and will not be what you bought in just a couple years. .
