I travelled on this route in the 1980s driving an Ashok Leyland Tusker between Jullundur and Leh. I also did this route .............. Jull Leh ...Manali .Chandigarh, Jullundur on my 1981 Yezdi. Those days it was primarily truck and Army traffic, plus a few JK Roadways buses
