Great video and I know it can be tuff to cover everything. I would like to comment on terrain. Shooting is based on line of sight. A lot of your shooting has a wall in between units. If a unit is within 1 inch of the wall I could see them shooting over it at a unit in the "open". But when your units are so far from the wall (1 inch or more) why don't you apply cover to the "to hit" roll?

I picked up Bolt Action last year and the basics are really easy to learn. Most units don't have any special rules, and even the ones that have special rules are also not complicated. I am certainly still learning but the game itself is easily learned. Love it!

Could have been explained more clearly though appreciate the time and effort it took to post the video. Should have explained that the recipient gets to call "down" when responding to being shot at providing they had not moved this turn to achieve a -ve modifier to be hit (remembering to remove the command dice from the bag for that unit), also saying lets assume we rolled a " " simply added to confusion rather than a simple walk through. When damaging on a non six roll it was not explicitely explained that the defender gets to select which model should be removed which would have made more sense when going on to explain what happens when the kill roll is a an actual 6 followed by a further 6 permiting the firer to target a specific figure. Not a major issue but as this was a tutorial it could have been clearer. Note I am not an expert but then I am not posting a tutorial. Hope this helps.

At 12:16 in your HE discussion, you say the unit should receive a pin. But in this case, doesn’t’ the unit take D3 pins, as shown in the HE table that you showed a few moments before? Also, you then mention that a morale check can occur if the unit is reduced enough … my question is, does that morale check happen before or after the pin[s] are added? (Maybe the pin[s] should have been added after the “hit” occurred?)

Thinking about playing Bolt Action again. This is a great refresher. Thanks.

The morale is explained differently in starter set its 2 D6 +1 per hit marker (if higher than morale no movement). Did it change?

Couple of things you forgot! US riflemen can move and fire without penalty ( US special Rule) . Assaults, all pins are removed, and assault weapons are added..( SMG, STG 44).

Hello! A question on an officer command ability. Does an officer put same or any different orders on troops in a command range? Can he give a fire order to one unit and an advance to another? Should an officer move together with the unit he commanded to advance?

Am completely new to this game. Just watched the bit on assaults. How do people feel about the 'all losers die' rule? Does it feel right? I know this is a game rather than a simulation, but do people find instant extinction of the losing unit a good game mechanic? Great video - well made, and with excellent explanations. Applause!

there is surely a rule for this but my understanding is that a 2 man team can assault like a 6 man team und kill 2 of them, they in turn lose one. So the one left standing wipes out all other 4 enemies because they killed more originally???

You didn’t explain shooting very well. You started by taking out one enemy casualty apparently at random. Then you say, if you roll a 6, and then another 6, you can choose any enemy figure as a casualty. What’s the difference?
