I used to have a 79 Monte Carlo with t-tops when I was in high school. Swapped in a 350 v8 from a 75 Nova and some Cragar wheels. I loved that car. I had 2 round solo basic 12's with an impulse 2252 and I thought I was the shiznit lol. Good times! I bet the JL's SLAM!!!

I'm late to the party, but JL makes good sound quality subs. I regret selling my W6 but kept the HD1200.1. I'm surprised with those 13 w7 he didn't go HD.

Do you think the JL 1200 is the best monoblock amplifier JL makes, would it be worth beefing up on electrical to bring out all its potential, or would 2 VXI 1000/5s perform as good with less drain on electrical? Never had a slash or Hd before because of power hungry but, my only doubt is if its worth the strain they put on electricals in comparison to the unregulated JL amps. To power 2 12w6v3s.

I have 2 13w7 in 2.6 cubic ft per sub tuned to 34hz with 43 sq inches of port area, its MUCH louder and sounds way better than the spec jl box. I want to go 3 cubes per sub at 32hz

go 50% bigger than jl specs. 3.45 cube box tuned to 30 or 32 hz. ive heard this setup in a hatchback, it hits really hard. i got mine in a 2.5 cube box tuned to 30hz, hits better than the spec out box it was in but the 3.45 cube is much better
