I wanted to thank you for the advise you gave for the P0420 code on a Chevy Cruze. I couldn’t leave anything on it. So I came on here. The 3 computer cables I cleaned the connectors. That way my fix. I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze with 1.4L engine it has 180,000 mile. I have been getting a P0420 code. I would go away and come back. I fixed it just by disconnecting the Negative side on the battery 1st. Now find the computer it’s on the side where the battery is. It’s has 3 connectors on it. I disconnected all 3 connectors and cleaned each side male and female connector with CRC 05103 QD Electronic Cleaner. Let it dry 15 minutes. I plugged all 3 back in. I installed negative battery cable. I started and drove the car 50 miles. It never came back.

I actually put three tabs of glue once I got the spider set in place then I broke the spider off those tags let the spider off put the leads onto the coil Saturday then cut off the excess that wasn’t needed put the spider back and please leave it in the desert to dry then filled in the collar with the leads with the glue And push down onto spider

kzbin.info/www/bejne/f33clYSPmsqrfq8 dont use a chisel or screwdriver like suggested. Use a Dremel and grind it away. I ended up chipping the edge of the frame half way through. Chisel probably faster but not worth it.

Did you solder on the tinsel leads to the coil before gluing the spider to the coil? If so how did u manage to solder

Yes, soldered before gluing
