I think rather than the staff telling Kyungho to pick Beat for the rivalry, it's just obvious at this point that Team Beat is the weakest team in UL so Kyungho had an easy choice to win for his group, 'cause I know for sure his team is gonna have a hard time competing against Team Rhythm, especially when they made that track look like a comeback song lmao

​@@evasvobodova1607 Nah, definitely not there's more strategic thinking going on there not just because they like the song. Objectively speaking, team Groove simply got the highest votes last time cause their songs and performance were the most 'public friendly' (and by that I mean koreans, if you've been a long-time kpop fan you'll know the korean general public's preferences now and BTOB is actually really well-known in SK though not so much intl). However, in terms of overall stage presence and performance team Rhythm is actually the strongest team in UL. Another reason why they only got 2nd highest votes in the first mission is because they're mostly foreigners. Now, if we remove team Groove's biggest advantage (aka Changsub's excellent strategy of knowing exactly what fellow koreans like) and pit them directly with starter Rhythm, they'll most likely lose. And yeah, it's already quite obvious to any viewer that team Beat is the weakest in terms of skills and lacking core members to carry them right now both skill-wise and popularity-wise. And btw, this is also thanks to Changsub's tactics of basically snatching every decent vocalist to his team lol.

Im not into survival shows but UL made me addicted to it. I watched a few episodes of UT. I hope they will get more attention in South Korea. But maybe the current political situation in the country is taking most of their attention. I agreed with everything you said. I kept on repeating the friendly trashtalk part. I love all their reactions, theyre so unserious. I didn't really like the Kyungho and Woongki drama, but it adds spice and hopefully will help the ratings in the next episode. Team Beat trainees are a hilarious bunch, I hope Jiang Fan will gain more fans. As someone older, I get what you feel about Chih En. The showing of invisible abs was so unnecessary. Mamamia song is such a vibe. I will defo stream their songs. Cant wait for the next episode.

Same, apart from UL, the only other survival show I watched was Peak Time. Both are wholesome with nice judges/mentors, but are sadly less popular than the toxic shows🤷🏻‍♀️. I like team rhythm’s vibe and enjoyed that part. Skipped Kyungho and Woongki’s drama. Looking forward to the next performances 😊

The drama between the two is unnecessary,senseless and not needed they should have focus and given the air time to other member who got overshadowed because of the unnecessary drama.

I would also more screentime for other candidates. But a TV show has to create some form of emotional conection / story to keep engagement / attention. I have seen more "objective" type of competition shows. They do worst in ratings. This story line isnt the worst because if any of the 2 parts dont debut here they wont be defamed for the future. And it feels pushed by the prodution, so the boys have accept to do this role in some level. There are some devil edits in other shows that really damage some candidates self steam and carrer prospects.
