It's amazing how God works in our lives. He takes us away from what He knows is not the best for us and gives us what we need and not what we want. Sure Colton was voted off, but that's because God has something better for him in store. And look at Colton now, he's living out his dream! All the glory be to God ♡

I honestly did not understand the votes or what had just happened! I remember watching the night that it happened and I was truly in shock. I know that he was a better singer than several of the people that was left. I personally felt like he was a better singer than Phillip Phillips for sure! He should have been in the finally! I know that God had another plan, I know that he is fulfilling that plan now. I can't lie at the time I was not happy, I honestly went through that stage were I was not gonna watch the show again (which I do at least once or twice every single season). It happens when the voters obviously get it wrong. I wanted to cry conspiracy and say that the producers would not let a Christian artist win a secular competition but I know now that God knew exactly what was gonna happen and he had better things in store for Colton in a setting that has embraced his Christianity not criticized it! Thank you God for giving us what really is best for us, when we want what we THINK is best!

People made the decision to vote him off of the show, not God. God gave man free will and sometimes that free will gives us lemons. However, I do believe God will turn around evil for Good (just like scripture says).

I don't know if that constitutes saying that it is an out right "fix" but I am saying that things are definitely maneuvered and opinions by the judges and such, plus how they market and focus certain performers on the show has a significant impact on the results!

Jennifer looks so sad after because she knows that her and the other judges messed up. They know that they made the wrong decision in saving Jessica. She didn't deserve that save and she's the reason that Colton left. American Idol needs new judges. It doesn't matter though because Colton is going to go far anyway and he WILL be signed. I can't wait to buy every CD this boy puts out. He is absolutely amazing. I will be a #messenger forever

It isn't Jessica's or the judges' fault. It's basically America's fault. If most of the Americans voted for him, he wouldn't be eliminated. The judges made the right choice to save Jessica. She's a great singer and has an unbelievable talent at the age of 16. You can't blame her for anything. Look at Jessica and Colton now. They're both signed to record labels even though they lost. Don't just blame other people. Lots of these things happen all the time. Blaming is just a stupid action to do.

It's not really the fault of the contestants. It is the choice of people who vote or not for them. So if people can't recognize real talent, then it is a popularity contest after all. In my opinion, if its based on vocal ability, Jessica is it. Colton and Philip are also great in their own genres.

You're right about the term "raw" because he even has difficulty in singing a song's melody. Yeah that will really make him original. So original in fact that he's the 5th white guy with a guitar who's won AI. And considering the fact that most of them really don't have great careers outside of AI, I'd say congrats to him indeed.
