Snake Lake Trail - Conquering the Climb!

Since our Gold Lake campground was a bust, we proceeded on, looking for another campsite...finding it at the bottom of Snake Lake Trail. Getting to the campsite meant descending down a VERY steep, rocky and winding part of the trail. Since we focused more on getting down the obstacle instead of recording it, once we set up camp we decided to try out our new GoPros and tackle the climb back up and down again to give you an idea of just how steep it was. This is our video of conquering the climb!

@@jlopes68 I was exploring around the Metolious river then up near Hoodoo trying to find a spot with a good view of Mt Washington but ended up by lava lake in some oldish growth forest. Very peaceful!

@@jlopes68 this is the year! Been a long time since it's been this green in August. Just head NW out of Reno 😉 keep in mind though that Oregon squatches are tougher than the fair weather Cali beach bum squatches you're used to dealing with in your backcountry. 🤠

Jeeping with Jenn & John haha, we have all the goes at 30psi. Only one take was needed for the 20psi run so I’m not saying you were right, but.... 🤣. I’ve been there, but you did awesome! I think the one after Tincup (hopefully finished this week) will be Penn Gulch and both Sean and I had to back down this steep trail as we screwed up recording each other at times 🤦‍♂️😂

@@coloradomallcrawlers ug, the fun of doin vids lol our bumper cam was in hyper mode the first time so for the most part that footage was mostly useless, i used a couple clips of Jenn, but i had to redo the entire obstacle again lol

Ol yeah. This is a good one. Man, the places y’all take these rigs on 35’s is really impressive. I wheeled with some folks the other day with my jk on 32’s and they were impressed. I attribute it to wheeling experience more than the rig. Great wheeling!!!!! I watched this one a couple days ago but watching again.

That is some tough trails and that jeep makes it look easy, you weren't even swaying about inside, like you were on flat gravel road and it looked steep on a go pro and we all know gopros make things look flat so damn! I've just got myself a jeep , I think over there it's called a jeep Phoenix? Over here it's a FIAT PANDA CROSS , it's a 1.3 diesel 4x4 with lockers and it's smaller than a mini haha. I got it to pull my tiny boat that I've painted to match the jeep which is dark green with sand coloured fenders , it's also going to be my bass box as I'm ordering 8 x 12inch Rockford fosgate subwoofers to squeeze in there with a shoe horn haha it's going to rumble . It will be rather heavy once done so I doubt I will be doing much off roading in it haha although standard with some decent tyres it's a pretty capable little 4x4 , there's some funny videos on here of them going up against our land rover defender . Good to see you guys out having fun while I'm stuck indoors though .Cheers guys.
