10:01 Using 行くなら (iku nara) instead of 行けば (ikeba) in the sentence 日本に行けば、寿司を食べてみてください (Nihon ni ikeba, sushi o tabete mite kudasai) is also valid, but there are slight differences in nuance between the two forms. Let's explore this further: Differences Between 行けば (ikeba) and 行くなら (iku nara) 行けば (ikeba): This is the conditional form of 行く (iku), meaning "if (you) go." It is often used to express a straightforward conditional statement. Example: 日本に行けば、寿司を食べてみてください。 Translation: "If you go to Japan, please try eating sushi." Nuance: This form is more general and can imply that going to Japan is one of the options or possibilities. 行くなら (iku nara): This phrase translates to "if (you) are going to go" or "if (you) go." It's a bit more personal and can imply a recommendation or suggestion based on the listener's intention to go. Example: 日本に行くなら、寿司を食べてみてください。 Translation: "If you are going to Japan, please try eating sushi." Nuance: This phrase often carries a sense of expectation or assumes that the listener is considering going to Japan, making it slightly more direct in suggesting an action related to that intention. Which is Better? 行けば (ikeba) is more neutral and works well in general statements or suggestions. 行くなら (iku nara) feels more personal and is better suited for situations where you think the listener has a plan or intention to go, which adds a layer of emphasis on that intention. Conclusion Both forms are correct, and your choice between 行けば (ikeba) and 行くなら (iku nara) depends on the nuance you want to convey. If you want to suggest a condition without assuming the listener's intention, 行けば works well. If you want to express a more personal suggestion based on the listener's potential plans, 行くなら might be the better choice.

I guess question 11 needs more explanation: 日本に行くならすしを食べてみてください, why cannot we say 日本に行けばすしを食べてみてください ??? I searched and found that 行くなら is used to express a hypothetical situation or a condition that needs to be met before doing something whereas 行けば is used to express the consequence or result of an action (it implies that trying sushi is a natural and expected outcome of visiting Japan) ...Well why not ?
@TOMOsensei
@TOMOsensei 5 ай бұрын
It's because the phrase after the condition form is 'すしを 食べて みて ください→speaker's suggestion'. As a general rule, expressions such as intention, hope, command, request, suggestion etc. do not come as the consequent in sentences with 'Action verb+ば'.

Qus 9 is something wrong because in that case, we are using い adjective and change to ku, so in this pattern 2 is right

sou and you have a difference. If using you, we have a reason, not just our thoughts to think like that. For ex, if it was saying that he checked the temp for example, and it was hotter, then you is correct. But here is sou because in the context there is not proof,evidence etc of what he said, that sentence is told by him just because he feels hotter today more, than yesterday. Its just his thoughts. This is why pattern 1 is correct

No2 なりようis grammatically incorrect. The plain form + ようだ also means 'it seems~ it looks~' . so 暑くなるようです can be the answer.
