the one with "ともだちと たのしく あそびます" and the translation being" I enjoyed playing with my friends" is wrong. -masu can be used in a lot of tenses but in this case we used -masu in "asobi" which means that it's "I will" (future tense). note: can also be used in past tenses. so the translation should be "I will have fun and play with my friends." rather than translating it as in, present tense like in the video.
@kefler187
@kefler187 4 жыл бұрын
-masu form works for present and future tense, there's no difference between the two. I would argue that: tomodachito tanoshiku asobimasu could mean "I have fun playing with my friends" or "I will have fun playing with my friends" there is no preference as to which one it would mean, this is determined through context. Future tense is usually qualified by specifying a time/time frame.

I recommend a youtube channel called japanese ammo with misa! It's taught by a native japanese speaker and goes over both vocabulary and grammar! Another great app to use is Bussu. There are some lessons you won't be able to do if you don't have premium but over all it's not restricting and a great way to learn and pick up vocab

Help... In 0:59, why is it like that as suppose to "本はどくですか?"?
@linkruler1974
@linkruler1974 5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how correct I am with this, but I'll try and break down the parts from what I've learned so far: 本は - identifies a book as the topic of the sentence どこに - with the combination of the に particle, I am assuming that the question is geared towards where is the destination that the book is at ありますか - this denotes the existence of something, while です states that something is (本はあります = "The book exists")(本です = "is a book") Altogether, the sentence listed in the video roughly translates to "As for book, what place does it exist at?" If you were to translate 本はどこですか it would probably translate to something more like "As for book, where is it?" I think both could be used, but the one used in the video may be more commonly used in normal Japanese conversation. I'd like to reiterate that I'm not positive on all this stuff, but I thought I would try and apply the understanding I've gotten so far in my studies :)

takakunai = takakunakatta... “nai” is the negative form of the verb “aru”. In polite forms, “aru” becomes “arimasen”. Therefore, the two would become, “takakuARIMASEN” (present negative) and “takakuARIMASENDESHITA” (past negative).

高くないですは present tense (neg) when u replace the い withかった means it’s past tense. This only apply to いけいよし. なけいよし、例えば-きれいな, u only use the ではありませんでした. Pls rmb if u wanna use ではありませんでしたon a adjective. make sure the adj is stick with the Noun. Ex. 昨日パンを食べたで、あのパンは高いパンでした/高いパンではありませんでした.

I was also pretty disappointed that N5 kanji came up to only around 120 characters, so I went ahead and learned all the kanji for the N5 vocab too. And I agree, trying to read a blob of hiragana is way more annoying than dealing with kanji.
