I got a few flight stats on my first solo flight. Stay tuned for more as I make flights.

Thanks Steve, great looking plane. Sounds amazing I can’t wait to see your next vid on the specs and what you options you got. Wow smooth day

Thanks Steve! You are doing my homework for me!

Would be nice if you added Fuel Flow in GPH on the left column so we could see it.

The G3X was setup at the JMB factory and I would like to make some changes, but I am not a guru on it yet. If you would like to help let me know.

@@funpilot2 You'll have to go into Configuration Mode for that. Power up the G3X while holding the Menu button in. Once there, I think it's under Engine & Airframe. Since the left column can only display so much, if you add something there, something else will get bumped to the Engine Page. If you don't want to mess with reconfiguring that, while you're flying you can always touch the left column and that will display the Engine Page. You can just show that in your video so we can see the fuel flow there. I'll be interested to see how your VL3 performs at higher altitudes! I have a Sling TSi with a 915iS and I love it. (I'd love the bit of extra speed that the VL3 offers, but I need a 4-seater.)

Unfortunately if I add fuel flow to the left column I loose Amps. I wish I could change MAN, RPM, and EGT to smaller gauges to make more room.

@ Yeah, I bumped my amps to the Engine Page. I added an alert, so if amps drop below zero or volts get too low I get an annunciation. There is a compact option for EGT which takes up less room. It just shows the EGT of the hottest cylinder and labels it so you know which one it is. You can always go to the engine page if you want to see EGT for all cylinders.

You’re misquoting your speeds they are actually higher. You were giving ground speeds but your True airspeeds were significantly higher.
@funpilot26 күн бұрын
You are correct, I quoted IAS Indicated Air Speed (IAS) which is a good measure to compare performance from plane to plane and True Air Speed (TAS) is the actual speed through the air compensated for pressure, temperature, and altitude. Both are useful as IAS will compare my plane to other VL3s at the same power and prop settings. TAS is the number most people want to know since it is used to calculate how long it takes to go from place to place (+ or - the wind). I will use both numbers in my reporting.

@@funpilot2 I live at 6000 ft, so I'm very curious about what you would get higher up, where I spend most of my time flying in the low teens.

also there is a guy here in Albuquerque who just bought one at Oshkosh last year.
