JMeter Backend Listener - 16th JMeter Training Video

This JMeter Training session covers Live Test Run Reporting -
1. Setup JMeter BackEnd Listener as specified in -

2. Test Plan
Deep dive into seleniumtests.com.jmx test plan
3. Enable View Results Tree listener and Run Test
Check that data is pushed in influx db - jmeter database - localhost:8083/
4. Disable View Results Tree listener and Run Test from command line.
5. Grafana Dashboard
Analyze Grafana Dashboard - localhost:3000/
Edit board and view query
6. Off line Analysis
One test run is over then update time stamp and view result of past run

I am trying to make influxdb work on windows. I downloaded the influxdb folder. Started influxdb by double clicking on influxdb.exe. I have done changes to my configuration file influxdb.conf and put configuration for graphite. But when I run the command "influxd -config influxdb.conf", the jmeter database is not getting created in influxdb. I followed the instructions on www.seleniumtests.com but am not able to pull data in influxdb. Please help.

Hi Sir, Thank you very much for posting this video. Could you pls let me know how to configure jmeter-prometheus-plugin with prometheus from jmeter? I mean configuration like ports and all where should I give and check whether the data is being reflecting in grafana or not?

Nice tutorial. If I run a test from Blazemeter tool, will I be getting results in grafana and influx db ? - considering the setup is working in JMeter.

@@tarun3kumar ya I know about this, but we can configure the backend listeners in Jmeter Master Slave ? How it will collect the data from slave as well? Also I have request you to can make video on Jmeter master slave with redis db for 10 users?

@@ParagOak been long time since I used JMeter but recall that data will be collected from slaves too though there would be considerable overhead with higher number of threads.

Hi , while I fire command influxd -config /config/config.toml, I am getting error as run: open server: listen: listen tcp :8088: bind: address already in use I checked the port 8088, which is used in /data/meta configurations of influxdb. Please help in this. Thanks

+gandhar khaladkar seems port 8088 is occupied with some other process. grep the process which uses it and kill it.

+Software Testing Forum I am running it ( tutum/influxdb image ) inside docker container. root@gandhar-VirtualBox:~# netstat -tulpn | grep 8088 root@gandhar-VirtualBox:~# Output states that port 8088 is not occupied with any process on host system. But when I fired same command inside docker container. root@8b28bdb53105:/config# netstat -tulpn | grep 8088 tcp6 0 0 :::8088 :::* LISTEN - I am not getting the exact meaning of the consol output. It is not showing any process which is using port 8088. Let me know how to change default port 8088 to some other port in influxdb. Please Help in this case.
