Sometimes just not doing every single problem works well for us. If it is a concept that comes easy, have them prove it to you by doing a few problems, if not, have them focus on that lesson alongside you if needed, and take two or three days to work the problems. This method has worked well for us this year. The timer method, was yucky for us, but that’s just our journey.

I assignment which problems I want them to do. Even in math 5 there was a lot sometimes.

I am going to try out the good and the beautiful language arts, do you think you have to supplement grammar and spelling? Or did you get those extras just for more practice?

I just got them for extra practice and we will see how it goes this year with the extra things. If it is too much and/or I don't like it, then we won't do it next year.
