The success of crystal lake is no accident. The band is clearly talented and professional. The creativity in song writing shows in their effort to create such an audition process when faced with the hard decision to find a new singer. We can have our own opinions based on these short videos, but crystal lake knows best and whoever is picked will be supported wholeheartedly. I miss Ryo, he is one of my favourite vocalists. This reminds me of the situation with Killswitch Engage who first lost Jesse Leach but gained Howard Jones who was incredible. Howard, for similar reasons as Ryo, left the band and I felt there could never be a better replacement. Jesse Leach returned to the band and he had grown and matured. I worried for no reason, Killswitch still sounds amazing. The vocalist may change but the band is more than one person. I look forwarward to learning who is the new vocalist!

Matt has disappointed me consistently throughout this saga, I don't think he has either the chops or the style to keep up with the rest of the members. He is constantly struggling to finish his verses by the end and seems only capable of producing a Kublai Khan tier mid scream. Frankly this style is not appropriate for a band with such a dynamic sound as Crystal Lake. His stage presence does him no favors as well as there's really nothing he brings to the table here that the other two prospects haven't matched. I was hoping this was just a fluke, a result of playing consistent shows wearing down on the ability to be vocally diverse. However I realized quickly that this is not an excuse as the other two vocalists seem to have no problem with this. I also soon found out that this one-dimensional style extends to his band Deadmouth on studio recordings, very disappointing! I would have hoped that someone who had sacrificed as much as he did for this opportunity would have put a bit more effort into his performance but now I'm just baffled at how he even wound up on the same stage as the other two vocalists at all. In my opinion Daisuke is the obvious choice. John is a great vocalist with a lot of talent and diversity and he will do great things in his own regard (if he ever wants to do Black Metal he should contact me immediately), but Crystal Lake is a Japanese band, their frontman should be Japanese.

Their Previous Vocalist (Ryo Kinoshita) deals with an illness called Adjustment disorder that made him difficult for him to continue in the band... the illness had been affecting for over last 6 years which made him to decide to step away from the group. But hey... that's not the end of his journey. He had released his new single called KNOSIS. Also calling it as Experimental Metalcore
