A lot of Skid steer owners change the drive sprockets at the same time as fitting new tracks. It make the tracks last longer. Because fitting new tracks on old drive sprockets, wears the tracks out far quicker due to the worn teeth damaging the new tracks.

It is exactly what I thought as well. You are suppose to replace both, because they wear out both at the same time. The new tracks are wearing more in the beginning because of the difference between the two.
