I saw Jo live once at a comedy club in New York. He’s even better than you think. I love his specials. He’s just as good if not better in person. He feeds off the smaller crowd and just kept going. He’s hilarious and warm. Took a pic with him. He’s just the best and deserves everything he has.

First time I took my wife to go see Jo at the Sacramento Punchline, hostess asked if we wanted to sit up front, I said sure. She sat us front center stage and no one else was sitting at those seats, the rest of the place was already packed...it filled up shortly after. Needless to say we were the crowd work table for the night... I'll never forget it, great night!!

As a fellow Hoosier who partied with John back in my 80s in Indiana I have to correct you Bert. He was born Mellencamp and used the stage name Johnny Cougar when he first was signed. When he finally got out of that lifetime contract he reverted back to his birth name Mellencamp by transitioning with Cougar Mellencamp for a time. Those were the days

On the subject Aaron Hernandez, if you haven’t seen the documentary about him you should see it. After he killed himself they took out his brain and studied it.
