I'm a Black woman, but I have full awareness and understanding that Black people aren't the only group that experiences systemic racism and prejudice. Charlamagne should be ashamed of himself for being completely and ignorantly dismissive of the blatant continual racism that Asians and many other races are subjected too. You take away from the validity of Black people's experiences with racism, when you dismiss and laugh at the painful racist experiences of other races. Racism is racism. We know what it is to try to be in the industry or be in the industry and people won't say why they won't really work with you. For Charlemagne to keep joking and acting like he didn't know what it was when Joe was talking about his mother's accent and why Netflix would not pick his special and you can hear the emotion in that man's voice over something that we know is very real it was absolutely insulting. Charlemagne is too old to be that emotionally immature. And for that to be the conversation it's been for years it shouldn't have been it's jokey especially when the comedian wasn't joking.

Jo Koy needs to come to London…watched ALL the specials and the movie! 😊 Jo is 100% correct, my mum and aunts are from St Lucia but are very much like Philippine women, features, attitudes everything…my favourite colleague was a woman from the Philippines and she was head nurse, and so cool…like family! 😊

I hate when comedians come on here and Charlamagne tries so hard to prove he’s funny too. Damn, Bro let the comedians do their thing.

Although it looks like CTG doesn’t understand, it helps jokoy break down the situation. Ctg has mastered the art of conversation. Even when he doesn’t get it, it helps jo koy illustrate the issue in all the ways .

I love Jo koy. He deserves his flowers. Charla get you some essential water beczue that new water is fogging you bruh. 😆

Charlemagne has no empathy, he think everything a joke. What Jo was saying was real and he was laughing at it, smh. This is why we think what we think of him...

Why did CharlaMouth laugh when he told the STORY about the kid making Hurtful Asian noises hurting Joe’s Mama’s feelings!?? Would they find it funny if it were his Mama and they made Monkey sounds and scratched under his arms!? HE WAS A CHILD, AND CHARLA IS COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE FOR LAUGHING AT THIS, NOT EFFECTIVELY LISTENING AND DISMISSING HIM!!! I see Angela being 1/2 Asian isn’t laughing at all but they need to check Charla when he dismisses racial hate towards Asians. ThiS Man is an accomplished Comedian/Entertainer and a damn GUEST on your damn show, show some damn respect!!!

JoKoy has been a Delano favorite. Come back and visit anytime. You know our community loves you!! I love what he is doing for Filipino representation. We were all programmed and the only way to change that is to show our true authentic selves.

These comments are hilarious. The fact that people didnt already know that CTG's whole mental health bs was just a way to sell books and grow his platform during the PC era is beyond me

Jo Koy handles it so good. I guess maturity and experienced

I love Jo, he's so funny. What I dont like is him having to explain to African Americans how it feels to be marginalized. Like WTF, and Charlemagne is a fucking joke. Like be foreal! And why are yall giving him a hard time, yall weird!!

I like joy koy but he clearly is unable to articulate himself about the relative comparison of the black community and his upbringing in our culture. It was coming off a bit racist. I’m sure there was no ill will behind it. Lol

@@Yng4evr Yeah, it came off as he was sort of being careful of his wording to me.

I've seen Jo Koy twice now, 1st time in Tempe Improv and another in San Jose. This dude isn't just hilarious, he is absolute genius entertainment. The Tempe one he had us jammin to Hip Hop and R & B from the 90s like we were back in that time for real.

Jo has ALWAYS been one of my favorite modern comedians..me and my little brother used to laugh so hard at his early material 🤣it’s literally ABSURD that him & Kevin Hart had to fight this hard to get this attention!
