Jo O'Meara- What Hurts The Most

Jo (formally from S Club 7) first single off her debut solo album Relentless. I know most people know this song from Rascal Flatts, personally I like her version a lot more!
Since I posted this video I have seen many comments about who did this song first since there are so many versions. So I am putting it to rest.
The song was WRITTEN by Jeffrey Steele and Steve Robson. The FIRST artist to record this song was country singer Mark Willis in 2003. The Irish girl group Bellefire did it in 2004 (Uses the same beat as this version) Jo was the first artist to release it as a single in 2005. I love Jo!!!!!! always have and always will ever since the s club days she was my favorite one in the band apart from Jon. Her version is sooooooo much better than rascal flats and cascada. She has an amazing voice and i know she will go far. I wish her all the best with her baby boy Lenny. He is very adorable. It's all the same lyrics so dunno what you mean. If you're talking about the videos though in the Cascada one she's trying to get over her boyfriend and leaves him behind in the end.

GrahamPhelan I'm talking about the tone and rhythm used in each version. Rascal Flatt's version has a sombre tone while Jo's version has that pitch which tells me that she's regretting her decisions. Cascada's just rings of disco and dance rhythms so I can't tell.

IanHoopz Rascal Flatts is the winner by a long shot! You get more up in those feelings, so much so that i cant play it too often! I think Marks voice is too twangy, and they over use the guitars in my opinion! Its not often you see country inspired songs on the UK charts, Lonestar, Rascalls, and Lady Antebellum changed that one!

Chris Flegg Not sure if you know the origin of the song, but it was actually written by Jeffrey Steele for his Son that tragically died in an ATV accident. There's a couple of versions of his floating around KZbin and when he sings it, it's all pain man. Great version.

I think it has to do with her work in S Club 7. A lot of people probably thought that her solo career would have the same "happy pop" that the group was known for doing, even Rachel's first album had that style for some of the songs. I agree that she is one of the best vocalist's the UK has to offer, I wish she would get more exposure for her great voice and terrific album. All I can do is try to spread the word of her talents.

I like the Jo O'meara's version & the Rascal Flatts' version of the song, but in my opinion the Rascal Flatt's music video is way better. At 1st I thought the song was a couple that brokeup & the bf "walked away." But I like how Rascal Flatts' video made it seem more like the bf & gf didn't get the chance to say goodbye to each other. They had "so much to say to each other" but the boyfriend "walked away" from the convo b/c the gf wouldn't tell him that she saw him in her future-it's a great vid

To be honest, Mark Wills did this song better justice than anyone else. And I don't see why everyone's ripping on Cascada's version. It's not half bad either. I'd actually put Rascal Flatts' at the bottom in ranked of how good they are; not saying it isn't good, but the others are better.
