Great info. Have a huge amount of 2.5 inch squares so will start sewing them together using the leader/ender method.

Strip piecing is what got me into quilting 30 years ago. I thought “I can do that”. It’s still my favorite way to piece quilts

Dang girl, you're spoiling us with all these videos! I too have wondered how you're able to get so many quilts done, especially after seeing your 2014 parade of quilts on your blog the other day. I was reading your blog back then so I remembered the quilts, but when you showed them all in one blog post the first question that came to mind was, how does she do it? Well, now we know! 😉 You mentioned in a video that you were going to show how to do the letters when you do a crumb quilt. Would you consider also showing how you do the crumb blocks? Do you have any fast and easy tricks for piecing them? Thanks for taking the time to do the videos Jo! They're so relaxing to watch, especially after a long day at work.

The videos have been very popular. I'm more of a visual girl so it's easy for me to see how they are helpful for some people. I will consider doing some crumb block tutorials. I need to get the Halloween quilt out the door first...

Excellent information to speed up our ‘patching’ 👏👏 But it’s worth remembering that not all ‘jelly rolls’ are exactly two and a half inches wide - which can cause chaos if you don’t know that 😢 🇬🇧

Are you going to give free Christmas blocks patterns that you are doing
@JosCountryJunction Жыл бұрын
Not at this point. We had the quilt published in the magazine so they still have rights to the pattern. Maybe in the near future.

Thanks for explaining your cutting system. When you make a triangle of patches (like you showed @ 5mins) did you make a full square of patches first then cut across into 2 triangles? I was thinking you may have done a large square then sewed a black square with 2 lines corner to corner and cut in the middle? Is that something you would do? I always enjoy finding tips and tricks :)

Any hints on how to get the square dance pattern? the magazine seems to be out of print. Their Facebook link gave a 404 error, your "links" in the blog are all ads for something non-quilting.

UGH. I hate when they take patterns out of print. I'll talk to Kelli and maybe we can rewrite the pattern and offer it on the blog.

I love you videos... but it is really hard to watch ...because of the lighting....it is very hazy.... don't know if you need to clean your lens or use curtains over the windows in the back. 😢. I am struggling to clearly see. Sorry, I probably is just me.

Great video! How long do you cut your strips, usually?
@JosCountryJunction3 жыл бұрын
I don't like them longer than 21" or half the width of the fabric. Otherwise I don't get a good variety.
