She moved in her 30s after having lived in Australia her whole life. Suppressed Aussie accent or not she has a charming transcontinental accent now. I’m sure she took speech lessons in the early years of becoming Princess.

even though english is neither one's first language, is great to see they using this language. it surprises me how royal members of royal houses, except from england, speak other languages besides their own. english royals, however, seem just to expect others to communicate with them in english. you hear or read other royals speak one, two, or more languages besides their own, not the english, either they are lazy or don't have enough brain to learn another one(and i like them very much)

The queen of England speaks French very well. I do not know much about her fluency in French, but I can tell that her inflection is quite impressive, and she is so natural when she speaks French.

Queen Elizabeth ll and her sister, the late Princess Margaret, were fluent French speakers and allegedly spoke to each other in French most of time. The younger British royals are basically monolingual - both Charles and William apparently speak a bit of French but with awful accents.

Joachim looked for a woman as much like Mary in every way possible without it being Mary or her identical twin. Her gestures and speech paterns are very much like Mary's. A definite improvement from his 1st wife. She's a bit more shrewed than Mary is. It has been a while sense this press conference so time is telling all right now!!
