I wish they would film major stage productions, and even minor ones. If a big music act that I like goes on tour and for whatever reason I can't be there to see it I can catch it later on DVD or on streaming. Why don't theatre producers do the same thing? People would watch the recorded version as well as the live performance and the market for live theatre would grow bigger not smaller.
