I met Joan many years ago, I took care of her dad, Vern Embery. I visited her ranch a few times. First time I was there they gave me a tour to see the animals. She is a beautiful women in and out. Her parents were very kind and had a big heart.

My favorite part of Johnny's - Tonight Show... Joan Embry and her animals. She brought always a breath of fresh air: her charming presence, knowledge and love did it. Unlike JH, who apart from his safari garb seemed to know very little about the animals he brought to shows. Always found that very irritating.
