I was about 20 when I did my first show with Joan, I was petrified and hadn't met her. I'm in a theater...When I did a quick change it wasn't my dresser in the wings, it was Joan (Star of the show!) in a beautiful beaded pink gown holding my jacket. She dressed me and pinched my cheek and said, 'knock 'em dead kid'. lol I remember going back on stage to do my last song saying, 'I've met Joan Regan and I think I'm in love!'... Wonderful kind lady. Every huge star that came to visit us on that tour, Joan made them come to my little dressing room and say hello. I miss her so much and she would be so proud that I did it. xxx

my parents appeared on the This Is Your Life show in 1969 when it was Russ Conway's turn to appear. Joan was the special guest, and she was very kind to my parents back-stage after the show.. A really beautiful woman with a great voice, RIP Joan

I was so lucky to see Joan at Batley Variety Club in the 70s She brought the house down with her impersonation of Gracie Fields singing "Sally".

I saw Joan in concert at the civic hall Iin Wolverhampton with the Glenn miller orchestra she was a lovely singer with the girl next door charm a lovely person very captivating personality. The audience have her a great reception

Love her music. Wish I was a born earlier - I only get to experience these amazing musicians after their passing. What a beautiful voice she had.

One of the rare female entertainers that remained charming and didn't let fame go to her head. I met her many years ago after a show and you couldn't wish to meet anyone more delightful. A great loss. RIP.
